Johnson County Commission Confronts Midterm Blue Wave Consequences And Increasingly Progressive Golden Ghetto

Important hyper-local perspective from Steve Rose who drills down to the neighborhood level and uncovers growing discontent amid the influence of newfound liberal power in this enclave that some claim is now a Democratic Party stronghold in Kansas. Checkit:

JoCo Commission becoming more partisan and less conservative | The Kansas City Star

Repeat after me: The Johnson County Commission is nonpartisan. You have to keep repeating it because it is easy to forget and even easier to ignore. In fact, it's kind of laughable. The citizens of Johnson County voted in a heated election 18 years ago to have commissioners run for office without party labels.

Love it. Johnson County will be the new Jackson County, lol. Move north to Platte or Clay, asap. We identify local races by party so you “generally” know what you are getting. #mccaskilusedtobeprosecutorinjackson, #bluntwascountyclerk, Trumanacountycommissioner and so on.....

Rich soccer mom's buying cafe lattes for their section 8 neighbors, while their daughters roll under the bleachers with Calhoun. We proud, we progressive, we voted.
