ARROWHEAD VETERANS DAY TRIBUTE BACKSTORY: KANSAS CITY CHIEFS PAID BIG BUCKS FOR PATRIOTIC DISPLAYS!!!

There won't be any kneeling during the anthem today as the NFL struggles to clean up their branding debate with Prez Trump.

Moreover . . .

Here at TKC we respect the troops and that's why we CELEBRATE OUR 1ST AMENDMENT FREEDOM OF SPEECH BY SHARING UNCOMFORTABLE FACTS that offer a perspective on local displays . . .

To wit . . .

Today the Chiefs game will feature the same kind of military tribute that caused funding controversy over the past few years. In fact, many believe the big money DoD marketing debate sparked national anthem protest of which Chiefs TE Travis Kelce joined last season.

Check the links that provides more info than sports newsies will allow as they attempt to keep fanboys stupid:

CBS Sports: US Defense Department paid 14 NFL teams $5.4M to honor soldiers

Think Progress: Standing for the national anthem is a new concept that may have coincided with a government marketing campaign.

  1. Arrowhead is just one big marketing carnival. Fans are bombarded with adds for beer, trucks and bad food. The clandestine army ad is one of the less harmful things they're subjected to.

  2. For most decent people the NFL is nothing more than the past. We've all moved on to better things.

  3. I doubt that you are one of the decent people, and also doubt that the things you have moved on to are better.

  4. There are a lot of better things than the chefs, you got caught drinking the kool aide and now your part of the giant web of marketing and product merchandise, but hey, it’s youre money you’re wasting on a temporary feel good moment and I won’t feel bad when you get let down again

  5. @10:06 AM You have proved that you are not one of the decent people. And the NFL is just a form of entertainment. One that most people don't miss when replaced. Take your virtue signaling and you know...

  6. If the Chiefs did nothing for this anniversary, the headline in TKC would read something like:

"SHAME!! DISGRACE!" Chiefs D-Bag Fanboys watching controversial NFL on day that should be about remembering the end of WWI. BOYCOTT CHIEFS!! BOYCOTT ARROWHEAD!!!"

  9. The real football is played on the pitch with an actual round ball. One 15 minute break in the middle, no beer or car insurance commercials. A game of high iq and elegance, no breaking plays every few seconds or being told what play to run. Yes, there is whining and tantrums but that’s during the game not thru the national anthem. Start with the European leagues.

  10. Wow! I never really though about how these displays were funded and I still wouldn't know but for TKC. Nice work.

Writing it off as recruitment expenses. Paying to point the camera at soldiers in the stands. I'm guessing the DoJ also paid for those cammo hoodies, towels and such. Millions of dollars paid to multi-million dollar football teams while those who did serve are left wanting medical care, housing, jobs.

This should piss off Americans everywhere. What a waste.

  11. 10:32 and 10:33 nailed it. NFL crapped where they eat. Too many other things to do for entertainment, even college ball. They'll still make a lot of money til they're shut down over that head trauma thingee.
