AND HE'S GONE!!! KANSAS CITY CHIEFS DISMISS RUNNING BACK KAREEM HUNT AFTER SMACKDOWN VIDEO!!!

Follow-up just for reference from news that offers a decisive move from the front office . . .

The statement:

“Earlier this year, we were made aware of an incident involving running back Kareem Hunt. At that time, the National Football League and law enforcement initiated investigations into the issue. As part of our internal discussions with Kareem, several members of our management team spoke directly to him. Kareem was not truthful in those discussions. The video released today confirms that fact. We are releasing Kareem immediately.”

  3. He lied to the team. Guy is definitely a beast in football. Had him on my fantasy team and dropped him tonight for another RB. Lindsay from the Broncos.

So...who is going to replace hunt?

  4. ^^^^^^^^^ Excellent question.

Probably somebody not half as good.

A rash decision by the front office. They let their politics get in the way of football. They're going to need him for the playoffs.

Actually, what the Chiefs showed is that, if a VIDEO exists of this kind of behavior and is made public, they'll rush to take politically correct action without even ascertaining the facts.
This kind of behavior is not really exactly at the top of the NFL priority list.
    Winning is.
    Well, actually, MONEY is.

  14. 1. TMZ is about as credible as Alex Jones, I want to see the whole video before I excoriate the man.

    2. Investigated by law enforcement and no charges filed. That should have been the end of it right there.

    3. This occurred off season and no connection to any team activity. It's simply none of the team's business.

  16. There has to be some way for celebrities and athletes to rid themselves of gold digging party whores other than popping them in the chops. Would tossing them out a window be OK?

  17. Peters excised last year, Hunt this season makes for a nice start to paring the Chiefs 'it's all about me' tree... further trimming is needed. Nod some things never change, Schottenheimer brought in undesirables too not so very long ago in an attempt to make football here relevant again. He failed too, with the likes Simmons, McGlockton, Rison & D. Thomas et al.

Unless he knew about the video earlier and did nothing, Clark Hunt deserves credit for making the right decision and an example out of Kareem Hunt. Now Clark needs to finish the job even if it affects team's chance for success.

That the price to pay for doing the right thing, in lieu winning at any/all co$t$ and suffering more 'hey dawg - watch me do my thang off the field and spasm about on the field! Look at me act the fool, flappin my gums, flappin my arms, gyratin about as if in the throes gran mal seizure. Ain't I cool!'

Deportment on the field and off should be the norm. Choreographed end zone routines, shimmying about result a simple first down gained or pass broken up (only to give up a long gain or td very next play or drop passes/fumble balls/draw unsportsmanlike penalties, etc.

This unfortunately is what that late great sport football has devolved into: overgrown adolescent's who cannot/will not conduct themselves off the field or on it, with any sense of professionalism or decency.

Others remain KC roster who constantly celebrate themselves success, ignore their failures: #87 kelce the klown, gimmick/gadget guy #10, human piece of toast #20 among other. These players also need to be 'tomahawk chopped' the roster, help restore professionalism and regain control undesirable element of the team.

For too long now, Chiefs football has been more a matter of 'hey, look at me everybody' than success afield, the ever more distant echoes of 1970 affirm. Hank Stram did not tolerate 'I'ndividuals, players putting themselves above 'team'; perhaps the reason it's been nearly half a century since KC has had a football pulse or prestige only place it matters... in their under-filled Lombardi Trophy case.

  19. Hey, if they aren’t in jail, they should be allowed to play. I mean, the only perfect person who ever lived was Jesus Christ. It’s nobody’s business what these modern-day Gladiators do in their free time. If society locks him up, then he is unavailable to play. But otherwise, it’s ridiculous to keep this kind of talent off the field.

And the guy who is the real LIAR HERE IS CLARK HUNT. Who is he to Judge? His Grandpa HAD THREE WIVES AT THE SAME TIME! All kind of books about the sordid history of the Hunt family & the many lies his bigamist grandfather told in business & his private life. Yet, we as Chiefs’ fans, don’t hold that against him. Clark has a responsibility to put the best players who are not currently in jail ON THE FIELD! He is lying to us by trading off Marcus Peters and dumping Kareem Hunt, who likely got his surname from a ancestor who was a Slave on a Plantation owned by a Hunt!
