KCUR: Hospital Investigation Underway After Kansas City Nurse Dresses In Blackface

Deets:

"Less than a week after NBC host Megyn Kelly was fired for defending blackface on her morning show , a photo of a Kansas City couple in blackface started circulating on Facebook. A user took a screenshot of a Facebook post — a photo of herself and a man in blackface, dressed as Beyonce and Jay-Z. THE SUSPECT is a registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. She did not immediately respond to KCUR's request for comment, but a spokesperson confirmed with KCUR that she is is employed by the hospital."

  5. So what about negros that dye their hair blonde or wear blonde wigs? What about the ones that have treatments to lighten their skin? Do white people have the right to be offended and protest?

  6. Why is this so hard to learn? If you are white, DON'T WEAR BLACKFACE. Ever. Ever. Ever....

    1. What if you identify as black? Can you not Express yourself? Some people cut off their dicks, some paint themselves black. You need to be more open minded and accepting of others.

  10. Oh, lady. You should have seen the blackface/slave parties we had at Ole Miss back in late 1980s. My fraternity, KAs, were particularly bad. We would chant Ka Ka Ka at football games. Oh, good times.

  17. ^^^^ It is frowned upon to do blackface, something to do with a time when full on racism, Jim Crow laws, etc. were in full force. But we don't expect a fat slob who never leaves their basement computer like yourself to know that.

  20. I'm sorry this is really getting ridiculous! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?. Who doesnt adore Beyonce? Newsflash! White people can love Bey too! And its ridiculous that I have to post anonymously or I might be fired from my job. I get it, but really its Halloween mother truckers! Jay Z and Beyonce are the ultimate power couple, and nobody in their right mind would post to social media to offend black people in todays world. What YOU find offensive is downright STUPID. I mean blackface is enhancing or exaggerating your features and color of skin to represent another race usually in a offensive way. Its not offensive if they are celebs you love and are imitating, right? Geez do black people only dress up as black people on Halloween! Can they wear masks of white people? I am really confused at this point! People need to mind their own! Lighten up! Worry about your own self.
