Kansas Senator Bob Dole Loves Pepsi, Boner Pills And Congressman Yoder Reelection!!!

Actually, I thought this endorsement and expression of mutual admiration was really nice but it's silly season and heartfelt sentiment from adults is mostly ignored . . . Real talk, Dole's old school Viagra work was actually groundbreaking. And his Pepsi deal showed a remarkable sense of humor about political life in the limelight as the GOP enforcer.

Nevertheless, here's a nice moment in an otherwise brutal camapign season . . .

Senator Bob Dole Endorses Congressman Yoder for Re-Election

Overland Park, KS - Senator Bob Dole released the below statement endorsing Congressman Kevin Yoder for re-election in the Third Congressional District in Kansas:

"Kansans know Kevin Yoder. They know he has dedicated his entire life to serving our state and they know exactly where he stands on issues facing our nation today. He listens to his constituents and always puts them first. He works harder than almost any Member of Congress to find consensus and common ground. Kevin is carrying the torch for the next generation of Kansas leaders - always putting our country before party."

Congressman Yoder issued the following statement in response to the endorsement:

"I've admired Senator Dole my entire life. His support of my campaign means so much to me and I strive every day to carry on his legacy of service to my constituents. It's my honor to call him a friend and mentor. Thank you, Senator."

  1. I met Bob Dole at a parade in downtown KCK celebrating the end of the Persian Gulf "War" (a war requires two armies to be fighting) and he was just casually strolling by with one other person with him, mixed in with the crowds and everything, I couldn't believe it. So I started talking to him, and he stood there for 3 or 4 minutes and chatted. That would not happen today.

  3. The key statement from Sen. Dole "they know exactly where he stands on issues facing our nation today".

Davids response - "uh, yeah, uh, I think we should abolish ICE and um, uh, um, uh, nationalize healthcare and um, yeah, uh, we should do things like protect workers and um, yeah, do things like, um, yeah, uh, yeah vote for me because I'm the darling of the left and um, yeah, uh okay thank you"

  4. yoder is going to win because he's a solid, msinstrean RINO.

all the sound and fury is noise.

a challenger who can't debate winnng? don't think so.

  5. The anger campaign approach works for maybe a third of the electorate but not the rest.

A majority of Kansans do not want angry people representing them.

Nierman would have been a perfect competitor to Yoder.

  6. @ 9:45 - You obviously think that inexperience on a national stage is preferred over someone working their way up the political ladder to give our region the best representation.
In other words the democrats have not produced a candidate to challenge Yoder effectively. This position needs two candidates that come out of the State legislature for the experience of working across the aisle and being effective from day one, not day 600. Yoder has that in his resume and he is effective for Kansas and America!

  7. Yoder didn't want to debate in 2016 and skipped out.

Now after skipping out on town hall for years, he suddenly wants a debate?

    Phony. You're fired.

    1. Nice attempt at deflection. Why doesn't Sharice want to defend her positions in public?

  8. @ 300. The reason Yoder stopped doing town halls is that your group "Indivisable" (or something like that) made a mockery out of town halls all over the place. The blame is on you so don't blame Yoder or others that decided not to fall into your trap.
Yoder is very approachable and is a great person to talk to. If you have a concern or an idea that he could use he willingly invites you to come to his office, with an appointment, and discuss it. He does keep a schedule but you will get your voice heard.
Hey has anyone heard from Sharice today? No? Oh why won't she debate? Has she had any town halls for @ 3:00 to attend? Nope.

  9. I met Bob Dole right before his presidential campaign. He was and remains an impressive person. He is a patriot for his service to this country and is the poster person for the Greatest Generation. I wish my generation and my kids and grand-kids generations could produce someone with half the talent, grit and integrity of Bob Dole.
