Tonight, here's the latest memorial following the deadliest attack against Jewish people in U.S. history . . .

Community Vigil

The lives of many were shattered in Pittsburgh’s Jewish community. We are heartbroken by the tragic and senseless violence that unfolded this morning at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA, where at least eleven people were killed and six wounded in a hate crime directed against the Jewish people.

To the Jewish community of Pittsburgh, we are grieving with you. We know your community will come together to honor those who lost their lives and suffered injuries. You will overcome this difficult time to become an even stronger community. You will regain your sense of security once more.

Kansas City’s Jewish community stands in solidarity with Pittsburgh: through your survival, your grief and ultimately, your recovery.

We will unite as a community to grieve and honor the lives of those taken from us. Please join us at a Community Vigil this Monday evening, October 29, from 7-8 pm at Kehilath Israel Synagogue, 10501 Conser, Overland Park, KS 66212.

We welcome friends and neighbors of all faiths to join us.
