ReplyDeleteMost streets in the waldo area don't have sidewalks. This goes all the way down to like 75th street and leads to minorities ambling around in the street aimlessly. I don't know if sidewalks would help
ReplyDeleteSidewalks are a must, and the Waldo neighborhoods have been long neglected regarding these amenities. However, I was driving east on 55th Street just a block east of Ward Parkway today when two women were walking their dog down the middle of the north-south street, ignoring the sidewalks on each side of the street and impeding the two cars at the intersection. What the hell? That's a neighborhood where, if property owners don't think their sidewalks are perfectly smooth, they can well afford to replace them out of their own pockets. I'll note that the sidewalks were just fine.
ReplyDelete10:45 don’t you know nuthin? In the ghetto, the streets are for walking on and sidewalks are where you park your cars!
