The Kansas City Police Department was informed of a threat to "shoot up" Northeast High School. The district is investigating the threat that was posted to Facebook October 11 and intended for Thursday, October 12, and have identified two students who were involved.

Police ID man killed in shooting near 41st, Garfield

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- A man is dead following a shooting in Kansas City. The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Darrick J. Jackson. Police responded just after 6:30 p.m. Monday to 41st Street and Garfield Avenue on a reported shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Jackson shot.
