Congressman Yoder Shows Softer Side On Immigration For Growing Kansas 3rd District Indian Community After Hate Crime Killing

In a bold move, Congressman Yoder advocates for the burgeoning Indian community in the Kansas 3rd District.

The Congressman shares a story of compassion following a horrific hate crime that evoked national headlines.

However, let's not pretend this doesn't come at a political cost.

Alt-right websites have been tearing the Congressman apart because of his outreach toward the Indian community and the victims of last year's deadly hate crime.

A few examples:

Rep. Yoder’s India Lobby Offers $$$ to Jump Line for Green Cards

Still, on the topic of highly skilled workers . . . There seems to be more tolerance fpr computer programmers than the equally proficient Mexican laborers who also comprise a growing segment of Rep. Yoder's constituency.

Nevertheless, the light touch is important and demonstrates a bit of versatility from this politico fighting for survival. WILL IT WORK???

Yoder Campaign's Latest TV Ad Highlights Sunayana's Story

Overland Park, KS - Yoder for Congress launched its latest television ad of the 2018 election cycle, titled "Sunayana's Story"

Watch "Sunayana's Story" here:

Sunayana Dumala is the widow of Srinivas Kuchibhotla, the man who was shot and killed in a hate crime at Austin's Bar and Grill in Olathe last February. In addition to losing her husband to that fatal shooting, Dumala lost her immigration status because it was tied to her husband's work visa. Upon hearing about Dumala's situation and the injustice she was facing in addition to her tragedy, Yoder fought to secure her a new H1-B visa so she could remain in America with her own legal status.

In January, Yoder invited Dumala to be his guest at the State of the Union Address. There, she advocated to House leadership for the passage of Yoder's bipartisan immigration legislation that would clear out the backlog of existing high-skilled visa workers seeking permanent residence.

Following her husband's tragic death, Dumala has created an advocacy organization called Forever Welcome. She and Yoder have worked together to advance the cause of tolerance in today's divided political climate.

  1. Doesn't matter if it will "work", that's a cynical way to look at things. It is the right thing to do and shows leadership. THAT is important and something we haven't seen from Yoder's opponent.

  2. She hasn’t done anything other than eat some pussy and beat on some women, is there no residency requirements when running for office in Kansas? She was living on 39th and Charlotte about two years ago

  3. My bad, it was 2007 when she lived ther, she owes Jackson county $544 and some change in back taxes

  4. Thanks to Garmin and Sprint...JOCO has a pipeline from Mumbai that is more like a sewage canal dumping onto the county.

  5. This is why Yoder will LOSE.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Will Yoder be making a public statement denouncing the words of Shawnee Republican Councilman Mike Kalny, who wrote that Sharice Davids is a “radical socialist lesbian Indian” who will be sent “back packing to the reservation” ? Asking on behalf of decent people everywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  7. 9:19: All efforts around Davids are about flipping the house, stopping every piece of Trump's agenda, and turning the next two years into an ongoing congressional investigation of Trump. The only "platform" she has is to support Pelosi.

Everyone knows that Yoder isn't a misogynist or racist. He has gone skinny dipping in the Dead Sea but he's not the person you are trying to cast him as. Falsely calling someone a racist is just as bad as the racist. Shameful.

    ReplyDelete
  8. ^^^^ Yup, you're right, Yoder, as you say, is shameful!

  9. @ 5:53,
+100%. Yoder is a class act. He is a compassionate man and shows solid leadership. All of the attack ads by PAC's are full of false statements and are taken out of context by both sides. I only look at ads where the person claims "I approved this message" as them making any statement. Sharice Davids never actually says anything in her ads like "I refuse to stand before you as citizens at a debate to explain my policies". She claims she WILL reduce drug prices...how? She says she supports immigration....How do we control immigrating under democrats? Always take her statements and ask "how". Those are questions she can't answer because Pelosi will be controlling her.
Also to those who bring up skinny dipping...in Israel that is not a big deal.

  10. So Yoder did something good for the entire state of Kansas, something everybody agrees is good and the democrats are mad at him? You people are effed up.

  11. yoder is using common sense. he will win.

most people don't want an untried radical.

  12. If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

    ReplyDelete
  13. If it acts like a chicken, and her lover says it tastes like a chicken and it clucks like a chicken, it's Sharice Davids!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Here are the practical problems and why Democrats are mad.

First, Yoder's compromises are weak. They help a few individuals but don't address the overall problem.

Second, Yoder's party won't let any of his weak committee amendments get attached to bills that could become law. They block even the small items Yoder proposes, most recently just a few weeks ago. It doesn't matter what Yoder says or does, in the end, he can't really help. Nothing will be solved until the GOP loses their majority in the House.

A vote for Yoder is still also a vote for anti-immigration status quo of Trump and the House leadership of Ryan, Scalise, McCarthy, and Jim Jordon (surprise, another enabler of pedophiles in line for the gavel).

She's running again. Keep the dream alive.

  16. The only "right" choice in the 3rd is for the libertarian Chris Clemmons.

  17. So Yoder wants to help far east Indians not born here, but insults US citizen Native American Indians.

    Got it.

  18. Yoder the drunk is in favor of population replacement, apparently. Those Indians are here to take your grandkids' I.T. jobs. It is bullshit that we need that "talent". No excuse for murder, but those people should not be here. We have unemployed I.T. people, and thousands more to come when Sprint gets auctioned off. Wonder how many H1B workers Sprint employs?

    ReplyDelete
  19. ^^^ How many does Sprint employ? The short answers is lots.

It's indentured servitude for the 21st century.

And it pulls down wages for everyone.

Yoder wants to crack down on Mexicans taking low paying jobs that snot nosed Joco kids won't take, but he celebrates diversity and subsidies foreigners taking the high paying jobs that Americans want. Absolutely backwards. Thanks Yoder.

    1. So does this mean you are for illegal immigration and against legal immigration? To me that seems backwards.

  20. Yoder has been an effective leader for this District. No reason to turn to a deviant neophyte.

  21. Those HB1 Indians have bought up mucho real estate in JOCO, too. Especially condos.
