Trump cancels Missouri rally as Hurricane Florence nears

President Donald Trump is canceling a campaign rally in Missouri as a potentially catastrophic hurricane nears the East Coast. Trump on Tuesday announced he's axing his planned visit to Cape Girardeau on Thursday. His campaign says that's the safest decision in light of the approaching hurricane.

  1. Smart thinking by a smart POTUS. Bet he stays in the White House monitoring the hurricane. Nice to have a real POTUS on the job.

  3. Isn’t it nice to have a prez who puts the people first! Those other people wouldn’t have missed a beat to go campaigning until way after the storm was gone, you know, for the tragic photo op and propaganda tour.

  4. ^^^ @10:51AM You mean like going golfing during Hurricane Maria? Hmmm.......

  5. ^^^^^Hey stupid read up before making comments like that. First off Puerto Rico isn't an American state. A lot of the bad things that happened in Puerto Rico are a result of their own backwoods way of living. American taxpayers have pumped billions in to that slum island right after and still to this date after the hurricane. So how about you shut the fuck up with your Trump hating bullshit.

    ReplyDelete
  6. ^^^^^Right. How dare anyone criticize agent orange? We certainly don't want to hurt the little darling's feelings.

  7. @11:52AM aka shit for brains. Puerto Rico may not be a US state, it's a US territory and it's citizens are sure as fuck US citizens!. Or don't you think that only "certain" kinds of people should be US citizens. Your idiotic posts reveals you to be nothing more than a worthless, racist, quite possibly in-bred fucking simpkin. If you had any sense whatsoever, you would be embarrassed by your worthless post. Fucking Trumptard!

    ReplyDelete
  8. ^^^^^^The point that is being made you fool is those so called citizens can't vote in a US election. Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory and the U.S. Constitution applies only partially. In the absence of an organic law, the territory is classified as unorganized. They don't have a voting representative in Congress. They have terrible living conditions and and even poorer infrastructure. They have poor water qualities and environmental injustices that lead to much of the damage from hurricane Maria. You can't blame any of this on Trump you knucklehead. Also were you aware that the following locations Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa.are declared the same as Puerto Rico?

  9. ^^^Wrong shitbird! They ARE US citizens! How do you not understand that? They are every bit the citizen you are. I'm sorry your fucktard President golfed the whole weekend while over 4600 US citizens perished and languished for months afterward with relativity no aid. I'm also sorry your fucktard President golfed the day after the Las Vegas massacre while 58 of "the right kind of citizens" were murdered and hundreds wounded. Maybe instead of posting worthless shit like you did, just acknowledge your fucktard President doesn't give a shit about ANY US citizens.

  10. And of course the fact that none of the 23 Republican Delegates to the 2016 Republican National Convention cast any of their votes for Trump had nothing to do with the lack of Executive Action, after all, he's notorious for "forgiving and forgetting", isn't he?

    ReplyDelete
  11. 1:54 they may be so called citizens but not being able to vote in our elections can only means they are not totally US citizens. BTW you do know that it wasn't till 1958 that those people living in Alaska would be allowed to vote in US elections. It was 1959 before Hawaii had the same rights even with so many US residents living there.

Long story short stop blaming Trump for Hurricane Maria and blame the government of Puerto Rico for not doing what they should of fast enough. The POTUS didn't play golf all weekend it's well documented other business was being attended to. The world didn't stop due to Maria. And soon as real information became known as to what happened things started rolling. But to say that was all Trumps fault is totally delusional thinking on yours and your right wing nutcase friends.

  12. The official number of Hurricane Maria-related deaths as reported by the government of Puerto Rico is 1,427 not 4600 as that asswype at 1:54 claims. See the local government is so flaky they have no idea who is where or what. That sure as hell isn't Trump's fault.

  14. 2:30: Do you know when Alaska and Hawaii became states? That might have something to do with when residents there were allowed to vote.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh come on 2:30 are you that stupid? That was the years they were made states ya idiot. Go back to school it appears you learned nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  16. ^^^You sound retarded. Are you? It might explain your posts.

  17. He's probably loading up all the paper towels he can find so after the Hurricane he can fly down and toss them at people. Best president ever, just ask him.

    ReplyDelete
  18. ^^^That counts both direct and "indirect" deaths. The latter is a fuzzy term - it can be applied when someone dies of something a month after the hurricane, just to beef up the numbers. So, how many of those were direct and how many indirect?

Under the FEMA system, it is the primary responsibility of the city, state (or in this case the territory) to undertake emergency measures. Federal help is secondary. Damage is greater when the locality has been and continues to be poorly governed, as New Orleans and Puerto Rico were. But the people who governed poorly were elected by the people who ultimately suffered in the hurricanes. One must wonder what the hell were they thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  19. ^^^^Yea, like why is our President golfing when US citizens are dying?

  20. ^^^No he wasn't Hillary lover. Everything in the GD world isn't Trump's fault.
He's a busy man undoing everything Obama fucked up.

  21. US President Donald Trump, who visited the island two weeks after Hurricane Maria hit, has pledged a quick recovery but experts say it could take months to complete. (No Lie there it has)
    Three weeks after Maria hit
Three weeks after the disaster - only about 10% of Puerto Ricans have electricity and many are fleeing for the mainland United States. (Yup they did)
75% of the sea ports back open
    100% of the airports open
392 of the roads back open.
Part of the reason Puerto Rico's recovery has been slowed is the island's reliance on air and sea ports to bring fuel, water and food. Runways needed to be cleared of debris. (And they were.)
64% of the island has clean drinking water
67 of 69 hospitals back open.
55% of the population had phones
only 18.9% of cell towers were still down.
So all in all wasn't to bad considering the place was wiped out. FEMA was in place to move what they could. Trump could have been anywhere in the world and aid would have got there any faster than if he had been sitting in the White House. You Trump haters don't seen to understand that no matter where he is he is always on duty and can give orders from there as he gets reports. But he has to get the reports first.

Remember for weeks the local governer of the island said only 64 had died so does that sound like a local government in tune of what is going on. Nope they spend 300k for someone else to figure out how many died. So you haters get off of Trump's nut sack. He did all he could with what we had to work with you assclowns.

  23. If a Puerto Rican moves to Florida - or any other state - and registers to vote there, they can vote for senators, congressmen and president just like any other U.S. citizen. And you know what? Quite a few will be doing just that, not just this November, but in 2020, too. Say goodbye to psychopath marmalade, sooner or not to far later.

    ReplyDelete
  24. "Yea, like why is our President golfing when US citizens are dying?" Exactly when are US citizens not dying? Did Obama tee off only in between deaths?

  25. also, there might be international things happenning?????

  26. Trump should have deployed massive military assets to deliver supplies throughout the island.

The local agencies didn't have the means to distribute aid. That's when a real commander-in-chief would step in and take over. Parachute in supplies, trucks, soldiers and get medicine, water, food, generators, and building supplies into the secondary cities, towns and countryside. The vast majority of deaths could have been prevented with a proper response.

Trump utterly failed on this on. The totality of the disaster happened over the months after the initial strike. Those deaths are on Trump. Totally preventable. Go check out what Lt General Russel Honoré has said about it.

Congress should be investigating the (lack of) response.

He just found out Hawllery favors impeachments.
