A tragic reminder that high crime and a divisive discourse make life worse for the two biggest towns in Missouri.

St. Louis, Kansas City rank low on "best big cities to live in" survey - Missourinet
Missouri's big cities don't compare well to other spots across the country as places to live, according to a recent survey. Personal finance website WalletHub compared the 62 largest U.S. cities based on 56 indicators, ranging from the quality of public schools and life expectancy to job opportunities and property taxes.
This should be no surprise. This weekend Slie was in line at a liquor store in front of a friend to buy some wine. When Slie used a credit card to pay the card was rejected. Do not know if it was a KCMO card or a personal card.
ReplyDeleteIf Slie cannot manage credit card finances then it makes one wonder how he can run a city.
EBT card can’t be used for liquor purchases.
ReplyDelete^^^ that’s funny right there!
ReplyDeleteIt’s no surprise when they’re both democrim run cities and on top of that the most blacks in the entire state live there.
ReplyDeleteDemocrims and blacks have ruined the two biggest cities in the state.
What’s gopherkc have to say about this? Doesn’t jive with his lies now does it. sLIE and him have been exposed!
ReplyDeleteWe need to get Hernandez on the megaphone immediately for damage control and to line some selfie photo ops up for SLIe. Maybe some soccer ball kicking with KCP&Ls Cindy Circo.
ReplyDeleteOr eating ice cream with Justus.
ReplyDeleteJolie eats a lot of pussy.
DeleteMust mean it's time to get some clueless New York Times "reporter" who lives in Brooklyn to spend 48 hours or so in KCMO and fly back to write another puff piece about how everything is so up to date and it's all because of Sly James.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe the HuffPo or some other make-believe media source.
Sly and the entire KCMO renaissance schtick is nothing but hot air, fake claims, made-up numbers, and tons of public debt.
The excitement is pretty much gone and once the 84% of the metro residents who DON'T live in KCMO actually visit all the "attractions" one time, the likelihood of a return visit are very low.
Visit 18th and Vine most any time.
And go downtown at around 3:00pm on any week day. Even more empty on the weekends.
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
Hype Hits Reality
ReplyDeletesLIE and gopherkc’s fantasy world just got woke!
ReplyDeleteRead this study and it has Austin as one of the best cities in the US to live. I lived in Austin for several years and it is a terrible place to live...insane traffic, expensive as can be. I'll rag on KC a lot but it's a much better city to live than austin
ReplyDelete^^^sLIE bot
ReplyDeletemost outsiders who visit kc seem pleasantly surprised by our city's beauty and ease of living.
ReplyDeletemaybe they start with low expectations, but consistently they're complimentary.
They probably spend their time in the Ward Parkway corridor or JoCo, hence the compliments.
DeleteNah, I don't like slie either. KC is a much better town than Austin. I don't want slie or kander to be mayor
ReplyDeleteI have a niece who has lived in Austin for eight years now and she said it’s similar to kc in costs, plus they have way more things to do without all the trouble with the boons, she loves it down there, It’s too hot for too long for my liking
ReplyDeleteSome street repaving going on in the Northland. N. Cherry, N. Holmes and more. Very nice. Must be nearing election season.
ReplyDeleteI am today calling on all readers of this blog to join me in congratulating Tony!
ReplyDeleteKansas City made it into the top half (#30) of the study in the category of Education and Health! Considering the dismal condition of the School Districts (KCMO disintegrated completely and most suburban Districts in a state of decline), Tony has raised the score in the "Health" portion enough to save us!
One of the "Health" considerations was "the number of inactive adults". By providing this blog as a place for them to remain logged onto 24/7, whining, moaning and criticizing other's posts, Tony has kept all the "Basement Dwellers" inside Mommy's cellar, and they couldn't be counted by this survey!
KUDOS TO TONY! We're Number 30!
Sorry, @3:06, but it would be better to say "the EBT Card isn't SUPPOSED to be used for Liquor purchases.
ReplyDeleteYou obviously haven't spent much time in the Grocery located between Forest and Tracy on the south side of "47th Street/Emmanuel Cleaver II Blvd./47th St./Emmanuel Cleaver II Blvd./47th St./Blue Parkway".
True, when liquor comes down the belt the clerks have to pull a "special" barcode tag out to ring the purchase, but still the Card gets used and the Booze goes in the Bag!
