SHAME!!! PERFECT VILLAGE POLITICO COALITION SKIP OUT ON CONTROVERSIAL LGBT ANTI-DISCRIMINATION VOTE!!!

Call it progress postponed or the opposite of political courage . . . Hopefully, we'll get more up front statements on this OBVIOUSLY orchestrated skip out move rather than simply politicos dodging a tough issue and not letting voters know where they stand . . . Either way.

6 Prairie Village council members call out prior to council meeting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Six Prairie Village, Kansas, council members told the city administrator they would not be able to attend the regularly-scheduled council meeting Monday night, forcing the cancellation of the meeting. City Administrator Wes Jordan told 41 Action News reporter Ariel Rothfield that one of the absences was known ahead of time, but five other council members canceled Monday and gave various reasons why.

  1. The LGTBESPQFUI needs zero protection in the village.

  2. Bravo they didn’t get bullied into further endorsements of this mental illness.

  3. Prairie Village is not really a good place for homosexuals. It is a place for families to live. Queers and lesbians belong downtown or Westport or Lawrence.

  4. Hahahahaha!

    Catches breathe, hahahahaha!

    Noe that’s funny right there!

  5. Normal people do not want gay people hanging around the neighborhood.

  6. Fags need to read up on discretion and just behave, no one is after you.

  7. Obviously the city council doesn’t want gays and lesbians in Prairie Village. There are a lot of families with young children who are fearful of pedofiles.

  8. The reason is obvious, but they also didn't need to be so chickenshit about ducking the civic duty they were elected for.

  12. Bunch of pussies and this just proved such. All they had to do was vote no saying enough laws were already on the books no more were needed. Wonder if one of those not there was a mayor candidate from the large lawyer firm on the Plaza? He is about a dick to begin with.

  13. I have two gay neighbors on my block in PV (that I know of.) Our street has traditional families, single people who are straight, single people who are gay, couples who are gay, people who shack up, and many home sales have spawned little mansion re-builds that are selling >$500,000. I don't think anyone here cares about how their neighbors couple up, or if they don't. The city council should already know that.

  14. Still trying to figure out why the LGBTQWTFBBQ and their 756 other genders need special protection that straight people don't get?

News flash: The vast majority of people don't care about which way you swing or whatever mental illness makes you think you're something you're not. Don't make it an issue and we won't, neither.

Besides, just how well do you think forcing that landlord who hates gays to rent to them is gonna work out in the end?
