With 19 Democrats Still 'On the Fence,' Progressives Say That If Schumer Won't Whip His Caucus to Stop Kavanaugh, They Will

As the fourth and final day of confirmation hearings for U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh began Friday, advocacy groups that have spent weeks raising alarm about the threat Kavanaugh poses to Americans' human and civil rights urged constituents to contact their senators and continued to #WhipTheVote in the absence of strong leadership from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).

  1. Kavanaugh has the votes to be confirmed, so no one really cares if McCaskill votes no or not.
Voting no only puts her on the losing side and motivates more red state Missouri voters to come out to the polls to make sure she loses.
But voting to confirm doesn't do her any good either.
This vote right before election day is her worst nightmare.
The Missouri that once would have supported her is long gone.
    She is toast.

  2. ^^^says you, and you live in an echo chamber, so you have no clue.

  3. Yep, she definitely needs to go! The sooner, the better.

  4. she's going to want a position with some leftist organization in dc after she loses, so she'll vote no.
