Most witnesses of last night's kick-off argument to determine the next Kansas City mayor were confronted with a surprising reality check that contradicted social media sponsored content and MSM high praise.
To wit and just as so many among our reader community predicted . . .
CONFRONTED WITH REAL LIFE LOCAL OPPONENTS, JASON KANDER BACKED DOWN AGAINST CHALLENGES, GAVE SHORT QUIPS INSTEAD OF INFORMED ANSWERS AND SEEMED WEAK AGAINST HUNGRIER CONTENDERS!!!
Translation and a TKC truism along with one of the many pithy quotes that local newsies keep stealing . . .
Kansas City lawyers are meaner than talk show hosts.
And so we leave it to you, d-bags, to debate the merits of our analysis that is more cutting, brief and gully than any of the fake news pundits paid to play puppet for their various special interests.

You decide . . .
Yes, Kander is going to have to brush up on his public debate skills but don't discount all the money that he is going to bring to this contest. There will be more than enough local "reporters" to claim that he won whatever contest. It's early TKC. Don't get ahead of yourself.
ReplyDeleteHe's not used to being questioned, there's only more of that to come.
DeleteKander did well. Agree with the first comment, he's just getting a feel for how things work in KC. And this is very early in the race. I think if you really listened to his answered and look past all of the bravado from other candidates, you would have seen that Kander had the most intelligent answers and he was actually very courteous and understanding of all perspectives. That's how he leads, he builds consensus and is patient to a fault. Jason Kander was the big winner last night and he is the most qualified to keep up the momentum in Kansas City.
Delete^^^^^^^^ Are you kidding??? This might as well have been a home field for Kander and he still couldn't pull it off. What's he going to do when he has to go to the east side and talk. He's going to get eaten alive, he might as well quit along with Wagner.
DeleteHow come there aren't any Irish running?
ReplyDelete...or Republicans ?
ReplyDelete10:49 just gave all the proof needed to not vote for Kander.
ReplyDeleteMy thought exactly. sLIE’s little dingleberry is already looking for some new ass fur to latch onto when Shyster the Liester shuffles his fat ass out of the office. Kander was very glib and has way bigger ambitions than being mayor of a small, midwestern city like KC. He would sell his mother to the devil for any sort of personal advancement.
DeleteYou guys know that Kander is a robot right? He was built by George Soros. There is proof of it on Breitbart and Infowars.
ReplyDelete"...he's just getting a feel for how things work in Kansas City." If he did not know that before, he should not be running for Mayor.
ReplyDeleteBut, notwithstanding, he's the Missouri Democrats' Great White Hope, so he'll get plenty of funding from both in state and out of state sources. Barring an exceptionally effective campaign by one of the other candidates, that alone should push Kander to the top.
So which one of Sly James' "Unindicted Co-Conspirators" won?
ReplyDeleteWhich one of the gutless crooks who are at leas partly responsible for the mess we are in now came out on top?
How are your various special interests, Tony the Puppet?
ReplyDeleteYou are fooling no one except Dave Larson, Chuck Lowe and a handful of geezers.
Wildean thinks he know politics now, too bad. Seems gunny that he's still reading TKC years later.
DeleteDiana Kander is so beautiful
ReplyDeleteHe spent too much time away from KC. On the plus side he still has time to recover this misstep. Down not out
ReplyDeleteJason Pander now finds himself "debating" people who have actually been living in KCMO and at least some of them have been participating in city government.
ReplyDeleteHe's finding that it's not quite the same as getting slow pitch softball questions from "celebrity" interviewers on MSNBC who just can't help themselves from slobbering all over such a superficial make-believe narcissist.
That, of course, goes double for the local "reporters" like Kraske.
I wouldn't buy tickets to the coronation quite yet.
The emptiness of the suit will continue to reveal itself.
10:49 AM "keep up the momentum in Kansas City"
ReplyDeleteLOL in most cases a downward slope is enough to keep the momentum of any wreck going. Even if the wheels have fallen off.
What GopherKC actually means is that Kander has promised Sly that, if elected mayor, he'll do his very best to keep all the BS that has gone on the last six years as well-hidden as possible.
ReplyDeleteAt least until Sly leaves town.
Hate to see where all that GO bond and water department money has actually gone.
As well as the PIAC funds.
Not a pretty or maybe even legal sight.
Here's the new boss; same as the old boss.
He's not fooling me 11:18, so go play in traffic.
ReplyDeleteKander was exposed as a lightweight empty suit who is primarily a product of national media hype.
ReplyDeleteSays you Maude, and since you watch Matlock and Murder She Wrote, your opinion doesn’t count for shit.
DeleteNo, it had been years since Kander had anyone really challenge him. Definitely rusty but there's still a long way to go.
ReplyDeleteElecting Kander mayor is like eating a piece of melba toast. Bland, unfilling, and immediately forgettable.
ReplyDeleteLack of Cander's rumpled blue jeans look proves he is trendy and knows whazzup.
ReplyDelete11:18, if he's not fooling you, he's the only one.
ReplyDelete10% eligible voter turnout at best is my guess. No one gives a shit. It's all about ripping each other off with a pat on the back and a smile in Kansas City MO.
ReplyDeleteHow many of the above that made comments actually watched?
ReplyDeleteI think I’m gonna puke because we are DOOMED
ReplyDeleteGO4KC spewed his piece because Pander probably assured GO4KC a job if Pander wins.
ReplyDelete...or a reach around
ReplyDeleteFunny, I looked at a picture of the debate and saw 9 piles of shit. I’m assuming the biggest pile was canady!
ReplyDeleteImagine if Harambe James was there, holy shit!
DeleteKander thought he could ride in on name recognition and be the big man on campus. He has no substance. It's a crowded field. The next mayor will be someone who has lived and worked in KC. Maybe not a politico. I knew he was in trouble when he was listed as the former secretary of state. What, was that like 2 years ago? Empty suit.
