Legislature Takes First Step In Hiking Jackson County Property Taxes
Jackson County property owners should brace for a property tax hike when they get their December bill. County legislators Wednesday voted 9-0 to roll back a property tax cut from several years ago.
Maybe it's time to stop skimming money to pay Caleb Clifford and Frank White's PR team. What a waste.
ReplyDeleteGo 4 KC....... Life is good in the hood !
ReplyDelete6:45 Don't forget the quarter mill $$$$$ Frank White spent on lawyers for his lost cause, suing the county legislature to try and keep control over the COMBAT fund. He wanted to keep his hands on all that money.
ReplyDeleteAnd now he’ll get more
ReplyDeleteIt really doesn't make a bit of difference who has "control" of the COMBAT tens of millions.
ReplyDeleteIf you think Peters-Baker and the new "executive director" are going to have any more guts and oversight of where that money goes and hold people to account for results, you haven't been paying attention for a long time.
Grifter central and the usual suspects have a lock on that $20 million and the "effectiveness" of their programs can be seen year after year as the violence and murders associated with drugs stays the same or even increases.
Just another JaCo/KCMO slush fund for friends and supporters and make-work jobs.
It never changes.
Need to pay off Forte $499,117 for accrued vacation, sick and comp time also.
ReplyDeleteCorrupt Jackson County Democrat politicians screw up and their solution is to penalize the taxpayers.
ReplyDeleteActually there is no legislative gridlock, just a numbnut county exec who ignored the budget that got approved last year and has probably broke the law to keep his cronies on the payroll.
ReplyDeleteAnd this is how democrats kill cities.
ReplyDelete^^^^^^^^^^^^ +100
ReplyDeleteSad but true. But we can't blame anyone but voters. They keep reelecting them.
Most people can't quit playing on their phones, lining up at Shake Shake and Nike, while the city is being robbed by a gang of legislative thugs They think none of this is going to impact them. WAKE UP!!!
