New luxury apartments coming to 20th and Main Street in KCMO

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The northeast corner of 20th and Main Street in Kansas City, Missouri will look a lot different in the coming months. City Club Apartments will renovate the two existing vacant buildings there, which includes the old Midwest Hotel, and transform them into a seven-story, 283-unit property.

  1. Developers in Kansas City......lol. Once you understand how this works with the cheapest most shadiest kind of building with the maximum citizen tax incentive behind it.....that’s when you understand how this works. That’s KC. The kickbacks don’t go to you in case you felt good about voting for it.

  2. Enough with the luxury apartments. And 2:49 you're right about the incentives and the kickbacks. Time for a new mayor who doesn't just schmooz these assholes and live in their luxury apartments.

  3. The luxury apartments goes strongly against yesterday's message of not having affordable housing.

However it meets Slie's agenda item of having all of the blight removed from the downtown area.

Slie wants the inhabitants of the downtown area to be high wage earners. Once this happens the downtown area will be turned into a tax district and everyone will be taxed to death. No room for affordable housing.
