Really good recent round-up that speaks to the "center-right" perspective of the district and seems to put election season hype in perspective. Take a look:
The Battle for House Control Plays Out in ... Kansas?
BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. - When it comes to battlegrounds for the midterm elections, Kansas might not be the first place that comes to mind. But the fight for control of the House is well underway in the Kansas City suburbs. Rep.
He will beat the hell out of Davids.
ReplyDeleteHer big thing is, "I am a lesbian and a native American."
That and ten cents will get you a dime.
The chiefette of the Lickahoe tribe will be defeated by 20 points. She is not even conversant on any issues and not smart enough to ever be conversant. Her platform is that she is an Indian woman and eats pussy.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just hate it when she uses the race thing she has proven she is a liar so keep that in mind when you vote and being an Indian does not give her special privlidge she's really not very bright
ReplyDeleteYeah. And Yoder's got so much Kobach vaseline up his ass that he can't even come down stay put on one side of an issue.
ReplyDeleteYou have to keep in mind when it comes to polls, interviews, etc. that many people on both sides would never disclose who they’re backing, especially in a conservative place like KS. The current numbers are made up of the “loud and proud,” but they will not be the ones (on either side) to decide this outcome.
ReplyDeleteAfter the mob rule and freakshow scenes playing out, Kansas voters in particular aren't going to risk endorsing far out candidates.
ReplyDeleteI agree with 813 and why wouldn’t I keep my mouth shut. I prefer someone with experience plain and simple but that automatically translates to sexist homophobia to the other side.
DeleteJust another Washington "media outlet" repeating what passes for common wisdom in that echo chamber on the coast.
ReplyDeleteThese folks pause in their usual disparaging mockery of rubes in the middle of the country to take up the latest "everybody I talk to" trendy idea.
Each Congressional race will depend on those two candidates and the demographics and realities of the district.
Yoder will win by double digits and Davids will leave Kansas by the middle of 2019.
Endlessly repeating a narrative based on fantasy is every political consultants' dream.
There's always the next election.
^^^Wow, thanks for that! Whatever it was, just remember that’s your opinion only, and live in an echo chamber. You only watch Faux News and you post on here. You have no fucking clue what you’re talking about simp!
ReplyDeleteIf she's so unimportant then why is the Yoder Camp running so many attack ads?
ReplyDeleteShouldn't they be saving that money for "swimming vacations" so he can take another skinny dip in the Dead Sea, with maybe a side jaunt so he can take a whizz on the West Wall?
Yoder is for progress..veterans and for job creation and families he frequently has town hall meetings and calls with voters. Stay with yoder
ReplyDeleteYoder hasn't held a townhall to visit with constituents in years.
ReplyDeleteThe only people he regularly talks to are checkbook carrying lobbyists.
Yoder found $1.9 trillion for a wall street tax giveaway, but voted against the farm bill and disaster relief for Hurricane victims.
ReplyDeleteHe also voted to allow insurance companies to drop people with pre-existing conditions. Tens of millions would have lost health care.
But he is an experienced partier. Recognized by his peers in a 2014 capital hill vote:
PARTY ANIMAL
Senate
1. Richard Burr (R-N.C.)
2. TIE: Joe Manchin (D-W. Va.), David Vitter (R-La.)
House
1. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.)
2. Kevin Yoder (R-Kan.)
yoder is a steady, calm rino who represents his district well.
