TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! MISSOURI FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE PREZ RICK INGLIMA ENTERS JACKSON COUNTY DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE CONTEST FOR SHERIFF NOMINATION!!!

The upcoming competition for Sheriff just got even more crowded and competitive.

To wit . . .

TOP RANKING LAW ENFORCEMENT LEADER RICK INGLIMA ANNOUNCES HIS CANDIDACY FOR THE JACKSON COUNTY DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE NOMINATION FOR SHERIFF!!!

Insider tell us . . .

"The FOP lodge 50 Prez is now throwing his hat in the ring and totally messing up the race between Forté and Rogers at the 11th hour."

Even better . . .

Our blog community intercepted his EXTENSIVE announcement letter that shares some important credentials, ideas and experience for the job that shouldn't go unnoticed.

A few more things to consider . . .

- This new contender will take votes away from Mike Rogers and not interim Sheriff Forté.

- The union connection does offer a way for the Jackson County Democratic Committee to split the difference, get an outsider perspective on the embattled department and move away from political chaos.

- More candidates in this race help to solidify interim Sheriff Forté's position as the votes supporting him are solid. In fact, there's open talk of a deal to hand him the race and the Committee vote is mostly just for show . . . According to skeptics and anybody who doesn't like Courthouse kool-aid.

Still, there's always room for surprises when it comes to Jackson County Democrats. And so, before any other news outlet . . . We offer the latest look at the new contender in the Jaxco Sheriff's race . . .

Here's the most important part of his latest presser:

"One perspective that makes me unique among all of the candidates is my experience as a labor organizer and leader. I have been involved with and taken leadership roles with local Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) lodges throughout my career. In 2016, I was elected by my peers to serve as president of the Missouri FOP and was re-elected to that position in 2018. I am also the president of the regional FOP Lodge #50, which is responsible for representing officers in all agencies in Jackson County, except for the Kansas City and Independence Police Departments. I chair the Missouri FOP State Labor Committee and designed and implemented the Missouri FOP’s strategy to move Missouri’s police officers into the realm of collective bargaining. I am also one of only 12 people in the country appointed to the National FOP’s Labor Committee, overseeing the labor services program for the 320,00-member officers of the National Fraternal Order of Police.

"Although the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has undergone significant transformations in the past 10 years, there is still much work to be done. Your decision to choose me as the Jackson County Democratic nominee gives you the unique opportunity to nominate a candidate that not only has a long history as a working police officer and supervisor, but as a leader who has been able to forge strong bonds with the people that work for me and beside me. I present a significant chance to bring a clean perspective to the office and create a new direction of leadership and professionalism that the community and the employees deserve."

  2. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Actually, I think Rick Inglima is strong candidate but he splits the vote. Now forte has a bigger majority.

  3. Agree with @3:36 and the post says as much, this is just a distraction to keep on handing it over to Forte.

Jackson County is rigging this race and they deliberately took it out of the hands of voters.

    Just another stolen KC election.

  6. hey cocksuckers, if someone is choosing NOT to drink and drive by loitering loudly in their car, don't tell them to fckn drive.

  7. in fact if someone is loitering loudly in their car, drunk, best not to fck with them at all.

  8. or is someone is just loitering drunk loudly not in their car, maybe not best time to fck with them either.

  9. FOP 50 endorsed Rogers & gave him a fat check last month. Inglima interviewed candidates on behalf of County Exec in May. Has no chance of winning. Can only play the spoiler to help union busting Forte and the establishment. County Exec's prestige is on the line. He had to get a panel. The election he thought would legitimize Forte was invalidated. If Forte is rejected by County Dem's they reject Frank & Forte together

  10. or if someone is not drunk, cuz really they are light weights who get drunk on average once or twice a year or every two years, and is about to go apeshit, maybe best to be careful fckn with them then too.

  12. Inglima is a very strong labor leader, he has done a phenomenal job elevating the union and the profession above the noise through some very tough times. If Inglima can bring a small am out of that same leadership and stability to the Sheriff's Office he would be an excellent choice.

  13. A democrat sheriff? Great, so no crackdown on crime. Hey, why don’t we just ask than Emanuel to be sheriff instead.

  14. Too bad Gomer Pyle isn't still alive.
He'd be a great fit in Jackson County!
    Gollyee!!

  15. Never make a union leader the Chief or Sheriff. The taxpayers will lose every time.

  16. Oh wow. Anyone who missed his late night drunk Facebook antics during April’s Lee’s Summit City Council race is in for a treat. Rape dolls and name calling... oh my. He proved to the citizens of Lee’s Summit he can’t restrain himself behind a keyboard, let alone a gun. I hope they go after him. Inglima is the new Moreno... hopefully they run Inglima out of town just like they did to Chris.

  17. He has a strong background, stronger than Rogers. Heven would make a better Sheriff than both of them.

  18. The real question is should the county expect Forte to be a better sheriff than police chief? Forte was a total disaster at KCPD, losing complete control of a command staff that did what it wanted. A deputy chief who lived out of the city the entire time he was chief. He put the department in a position to hold no one accountable for a residency restriction. He poorly handled manpower issues that caused the patrol assignments to be completely drained of staffing, barely able to handle calls for service. He created multiple units that did the same tasks, while creating no tools to ascertain whether or not they were successful. In fact, crime spiraled out of control while Forte was asleep at the wheel. He allowed a major to take advantage of his responsibilities and work when and where he wanted, all the while he double dipped. Forte even took advantage of a system that allowed him to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars in manipulated vacation and comp time.

While it’s difficult to know who their perfect candidate may be, Forte’s resume shows he shouldn’t be a candidate for the position. The county deserves better than a person who will only take care of himself.

  20. Oh yeah he's done soooo great for lspd wages that I haven't heard them complain in any election except for all of them. The guy tries screwing in a light bulb and blames reverse threads. Dumbest crayon in the box. You heard me right... Not even on the spectrum for bright vs dim. Effing retard. He's the reason blm exists. He's the reason lspd pay sux. Hes the reason I cross my fingers pray to the lord his boyfriend pulls the choke chain a little too hard one night. Cuffed, gagged, and limmewinks running free is how I'd love to find him. Worthless waste of skin P. O. S.

  21. My question is why isn't there collective bargaining for law enforcement in this state? He never was available as local president of lodge 50 it was always someone else that did the work. I always felt he was political and never had the interest of the rank and file of lodge 50 members in his agenda. Lodge 50 needs the leadership it had before he came along. He needs to move along and be done with things. This is just another political stunt.

  22. ^^^^^^
A troll who obviously has no real knowledge about the FOP, police collective bargaining, or even knows how to read. We have collective bargaining all over the state and that local lodge has more than doubled in size over the last 15 years he was the president. Do you have any idea who the lodge president was that long ago? LOL
