Workers at KC Pet Project are scrambling to find adequate housing Wednesday after Kansas City, Missouri Animal Control confiscated 51 roosters, hens, and chicks from a home. Staff members are working to separate the birds and find housing placements for them. The current sheltering facility is not equipped to handle the volume of animals received Thursday.

    BREAKING!! One Harlan Sanders has generously offered to adopt all 51 chickens. Sanders, who is a retired Colonel, told the KC Pet Project that the fowl would be so well cared for they wouldn't know what hit them.
