SHAME!!! VIOLENCE PERSISTS AT JACKSON COUNTY JAIL AND THREATENS GUARDS!!!

An update reminds us that the ongoing human rights crisis at this downtown lock-up still hasn't been resolved and instead the current administration seems to focus on "big picture" reforms more closely related to social justice whilst the day-to-day operations continue to endanger guards and inmates alike . . .

The latest:

Examiner: County jail inmate injures guard

Deets:

"An inmate at the Jackson County jail has been charged with assault after he allegedly threw a trash can at one corrections officer and injured another who tried to restrain the Kansas City man."

  2. And Frank White's task force still hasn't completed its task, writing a useless report. What a waste of time. Instead of leading, Frank White has tried to dodge this problem, ignored reports from expert consultants calling the jail a shithole, ignored a grand jury report, brushed off one inmate's horrendous rape as "old news." But he's had time to organize an auction of his Royals crap and to skim money from COMBAT and other departments to keep paying Caleb Clifford and Angie Jeffries and his other minions. He's had time to keep secret his mortgage deal organized by Sleazy Mike Sanders. When is the attorney general or the feds going to charge this scumbag?

  3. 7:10 When is The Star going to do any follow-up reporting?

  4. ^^ Follow up will happen will happen when it benefits the city.

  5. The Star can't even bother to follow-up on their own editorial about overriding Frank's veto of the charter changes. Those changes include preventing Frank from being able to steal from COMBAT again.

  6. ^^NOBODY reads the Star. Hurry up and die.

  7. I stopped reading the star specifically because they won't cover what is happening just down the block from them.
