Lame Duck Crew Chat: Kansas City Mayor Sly Chief Of Staff Conversation . . .

Or, this is what a Kansas City political job search looks like when newsies owe favors to their favorite sources . . .

City's 2nd ever woman Chief of Staff reflects on job, life, career

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Joni Wickham stands 5'1" tall - a few inches taller in heels. She has a southern accent that is indisputable, a smile that reaches her eyes, and boundless energy partially fueled by five to seven cups of coffee per day.

  3. ^^Boring. Go find something else to complain about geezer. I'm sure the tapioca was off today and Matlock is still running reruns.

  5. Typically when someone Dubills age is assigned to producing boring puff piece pablum like this it means the exit door is the next stop.

  7. Don't worry, Joni - Sly will take good care of you when he leaves office - he always repays loyalty by being loyal to his flunkys himself! (Chuckle, chuckle, guffaw)

  9. Here we are in 2018, and the media is STILL touting Women's Liberation propaganda!

Exactly how long does this continue?

We're told that Wickham oftentimes works 6-7 days a week, with typically long hours during the day.

But she's also the mother to a young child.

Did you catch the part where she asks her child, "Do you like softball?" Of course, she should have said, "Do you like watching softball?"

Wickham was NOT playing ball with her child, and apparently didn't know if she liked softball because she's an absentee parent. Sorry, but the truth hurts sometimes.

It was fitting that KSHB's Dubill and Ally brought us this story as they're also both absentee mothers to young children.

What happened to the media's favorite slogan "Do It For The Kids"?
