Conclusion . . .
Sharice Davids won Tuesday’s Democratic primary by capturing 37 percent of the vote, defeating Brent Welder, who received 34 percent, by 2,088 votes.
The margin is much bigger than Kobach's win so a recount wouldn't be worth it.
Also, this victory is historic given the Native American heritage of Ms. Davids . . . Which might also be the least interesting thing about her candidacy.
Expect national Democratic Party leaders to pour (corporate) money into this race to challenge Congressman Kevin Yoder who is not only sitting atop a pile of cash but also has a great deal more policy expertise than this feisty noob.

Ms. Davids has no previous elected experience. Think people, if you owned a business would you pay her $178K to work for you? I didn't think so.

ReplyDeleteI've seen a book at the library about just running for election and the front cover says the foreword is written by Hillary Clinton. I think this is the thing that has encouraged all of the unqualified women and lawyers to run for federal offices. I'm going to have to do more research...more later.
