Kansas City Star Plays It Safe In 3rd District With Hottie Politico Over Democratic Socialist

Another local lawyer and establishment Democratic Party denizen earns a big with by way of her KCMO/JoCo pals on the editorial board. Here's the dead-tree kiss of death for any real threat to challenge Congressman Yoder.

Star endorses Sharice Davids, Kansas Democrat for Congress | The Kansas City Star

Democrats in Kansas' 3rd Congressional District have a difficult choice to make in Tuesday's primary. Six exceptional candidates are competing to face U.S. Rep. Kevin Yoder, the almost-certain GOP nominee, in November. Our choice for the Democratic nomination is Sharice Davids. The Star's endorsement is based in part on Davids' policy positions.

  1. Actually, her positions are just a radical as those of the "democratic socialists" who came to town to push the candidacy of one of her opponents. And they supported Welder because he was selected by the Washington folks as their guy, showing once again that they really don't know anything about what's going on outside the DC beltway.
But this person is the kind of candidate you just know the Star would love:
A native American lesbian who once served in some 19th level job in the Obama administration and who is going to "fight" Trump every step of the way.
That's pretty much it. And in typical fashion, not what she's done, but rather what she is.
If the Star's endorsed candidate wins the primary, Yoder will win the general election by double digits.

  2. No chance in hell she comes close to winning. It's a wet dream for delusional liberals completely out of touch with Kansas.

  3. She might have a chance in the north east.

  4. If nothing else, the Democrats are coming up with some nice looking ladies.

  7. Bernie gave Welder name recognition. Moreover, his supporters are very committed--enough to bother to vote.

That may give him an edge in a crowded race.

  8. Native American, lesbian and a former mixed martial arts fighter

    Weird and probably dangerous combo.

  13. I always pay attention to the endorsements of the KC Star. Then I know who to never vote for. THE RULE: AKWAYS VOTE FOR THE OTHER GUY!

  14. I have two rules for people wanting my vote for Federal (aka: High pay for low efforts) offices. First you MUST have experience in a prior local or state level elected position. Second you MUST state in your advertisements what you oppose and what you support.
In the KC Star the endorsement apparently didn't consider this $178,000 a year job should not go to a ROOKIE wanabe or that they have to have stated positions. I don't care if she is Native American but I do care that she has no qualifications. Mom a drill sergeant....who cares about that? She wants to join the Santa Claus parade in DC.
