TRANSIT ACTIVIST CLAY CHASTAIN CALLS KANSAS CITY STAR 'FAKE NEWS' AND SEYZ HE CAN WIN MAYORAL RACE!!!
A fun tidbit that needs to be highlighted . . .
CLAY CHASTAIN MAKES HIS DEBUT AS A REPUBLICAN IN THE KCMO MAYORAL RACE!!!
The contest is non-partisan and this is a bit of a "coming out" for the champion of public transit given that he hasn't discussed his political affiliations previously.
Take a peek:
Actual Press Release Title: "Biased Star proclaims Clay cannot win mayor's race, but when Clay does his light will shine on Kansas City and he will shine on the Star."
If elected mayor, Clay will begin shining his visionary light upon Kansas City while "shining on" Kansas City's far left-lunging progressive-driven repository of "Fake news" - the Kansas City Star.
The Star is biased toward Clay because Clay is an independent thinking and acting conservative Republican that has rocked the hell out of the liberal-lunging Star and Kansas City's elite-controlled, and Star-supported, establishment.
Over the years, the Star has continually presented Clay to the public in a demeaning and mocking light in order to undermine public support for Clay and his innovative ideas to improve Kansas City. And doing this, while sitting idly by while the current mayor has strong-armed the people with all his secret doings for the elite.
Just yesterday, the Star's guru, Dave Helling, astonishingly whined in a Star column about the lack of a conservative (Clay) boat-rocking (Clay) Republican candidate (Clay) to challenge (Clay) all the status quo-oriented democratic mayoral candidates. Unable to avoid the obvious, Helling then wrote in classic anti-Clay dumbfounding Star style this...(" Don't get me started on Clay Chastain. He may not be eligible, and he can't win.")
And what does the Star know? Here is what has happened to Kansas City over the last 4-decades under the leadership of left-leaning elected officials, the elite and the know it alls at the Star and, what Mayor Clay Chastain will have to do to fix our city...
(1) Kansas City has lost over 100,000 citizens.
(2) Kansas City's violent crime rate and economic disparity have soared.
(3) Kansas City's infrastructure has crumbled while glitzy projects for the elite have flourished.
(4) Kansas City has crushing debt largely due to a plethora of misguided tax-abated projects (TIF) for the elite.
(5) Kansas City has been crippled by a $100 million a year failed diesel bus-based transit system (useful to only 7% of the people) while the city pursues a novelty streetcar system for tourists and rich developers.
(6) Kansas City has suffered an horrendous decline in families living in the city with school-age children as public school enrollment has declined from 78,000 (forty years ago) to 12,500 today!
(7) Kansas City has seen an assault on the people's democratic petition process by an elite-controlled government that has unfairly and illegally interfered with valid petitions from the people and cares little about ordinary citizens.
There is finally an honest, conservative and idea-oriented populist candidate running for mayor who has the where with all to... make the "City Beautiful," beautiful again. But, the biased, liberal and misspoken Star says, "He can't win."
We will see. Kansas City is still worth fighting for and Clay is the man to do it.
Mayoral ('He can't win") Candidate Clay Chastain
#############

I'm with CLAY! I want to shake up the establishment, and Clay will do it!
ReplyDeleteDamn, it would really piss people off if he won! I love it!
Clay would be a change agent and that's what's needed.
ReplyDeleteClay seems like a kooky guy, but I'd definitely take him over kander
ReplyDeleteYou need someone who knows how to say NO.
ReplyDeleteIf the Star is against him, he has my vote!
ReplyDeleteHe has our vote!!!!
ReplyDeleteDisagree with number 5. We could improve the metro, but it isn't a failure. In the central city the plan is ok. Farther out it gets pretty thin pretty quick. There have been harmful cuts in July '17 and especially October'17 to some routes I pay attention to (28, 47, 570) and coverage gets very thin on weekends and evenings. We need more frequency of routes and I honestly think some of the routes are trying to "do too much" e.g. the 11 expanded to all the way to KU Med instead of just being the former 30 northeast bus, and the 55 is overextended just like the seldom used 40 it replaced. -radish
ReplyDeleteP.S. the $102 million, 2-mile streetcar is transit theater and unintentionally embarrasing and hilarious for our city.
it may be fun to throw a wrench into the system, but when there's an eminently qualified candidate lile Kander, it's best to resist the chaos temptation.
ReplyDeleteI would vote for Clay. Soon after he is elected, I would need him to buy some new fake teeth. He resembles a chipmunk.
ReplyDeleteWe need to same the Paseo after James Earl Ray.
ReplyDeleteAbout the only "shining" Clay resembles is the movie by the same name starring Jack Nicholson.
ReplyDeleteScary, scary, dude!
Metro
ReplyDeleteLoves
Klay
He needs to get a petition going
ReplyDeleteDoesn’t this retard live in Virginia?
ReplyDeleteHe owns a house in KCMO @ 4:13, and lives in it enough to establish residency under Missouri Law. A condition not met by Sylvester James, by the way - or by Kay Barnes when she ran for Congress, living n Brookside and claiming residence in the District she wanted to represent by claiming to live in a leased house Charles Garney provided to her for free.
ReplyDeleteHe is the only candidates that has new ideas, he has my vote.
ReplyDeleteHe says "See this? This is the way I used to "fly" my hand out the car window when I was a little boy."
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteRun Clay Run, you can do it, and I think Kansas City just might vote for ya.
Clay couldn't beat a homeless grifter to make it past the last primary election. What makes anyone think he has a chance to get past a primary when there are so many more formidable candidates?
