TKC EXCLUSIVE FRIDAY FACE-OFF: AMID WAR FOR KANSAS CITY MIDDLE-CLASS WHITE NORTHLAND VOTERS: KANDER DESTROYS COUNCILMAN WAGNER!!!

The fighting among white people for a chance at the Kansas City mayor's office is the most vicious Kansas City has seen in more than a decade.

Moreover, it's important to drill down into local politics and see why Jason Kander is Kansas City's great, white hope.

Here's the truism that nobody has mentioned because they're trying to be nice . . .

JASON KANDER IS GOING TO TAKE ALL OF THE VOTES THAT WOULD'VE BEEN WASTED ON COUNCILMAN SCOTT WAGNER!!!

Here's why . . .

NORTHLAND LEADERS ARE MORE INSPIRED BY KANDER'S CABLE NEWS STAR POWER THAN THEIR UP-CLOSE & PERSONAL INTERACTION WITH COUNCIL DUDE WAGNER!!!

Accordingly . . .

SPECIAL THANKS TO READERS ACROSS THE BRIDGE . . . HERE'S NORTHLAND TESTIMONY TARGETING COUNCIL DUDE WAGNER AND WHY HE'S WASTING HIS TIME AGAINST KANDER!!!

Check Councilman Wagner's list of wrongs from a power player that you probably know  . . .

"Councilman Wagner has nothing to hang his hat on for north of the river. What substantial thing has he accomplished?

"He did that big five idea thing then nothing to implement it.

"Projects like North Brighton Ave were started twenty years ago sit unfinished yet he promised to have it done by the time he termed out.

"He tried to force the Maple Corners development on an area already saturated with subsidized housing. The elementary school is about 80% free or reduced lunch. The neighborhood has been deemed unsafe for walking to school so students are bused as close as one block to school and he proposed no plans to improve the infrastructure with the project. Over 1,000 people signed the petition to stop him.

"He could claim Buck O'Neill bridge but that's about it. He's ineffective, but he's also out of touch with the Northland voters."

For these reasons and more . . . Northland insiders concede that Kander will easily control most mayoral votes across the bridge.

The only downside is that the Northland electorate is often fickle and they stay home when there's an issue they don't feel connected to like GO bonds or school votes . . . A slap fight among progressives might be one of those occasions which fails to inspire suburbanites from the hinterlands despite their reported love for the NextGen progressive.

Still, Jason Kander would be far more likely to draw a crowd than Councilman Wagner.

And so . . . Northland voters are confronted with a tough choice for the next mayoral vote -- A cable TV candidate who seems nice in quick interviews or continued neglect from an urban core politico like Councilman Quinton Lucas who might have crossover appeal but would never champion the interest of suburbanites over the rest of the city. The only thing we know is that Councilman Wagner won't be a factor in their decision.

Developing . . .

  1. Factor in those same circumstances out South and that's how he beats the other Scott, Taylor. And ultimately how he wins the next election.

Some of the backhanded slapping at Kander is deserved, no politician is above reproach but Kander is more than just a face on Msnbc. He has experience at the state level that might help KC move out of the gutter under the current leadership at city hall. More than anything else, that's what I see as his greatest selling point.

  2. KC needs a real Republican candidate.

    Sorry but that's the truth.

  3. KC doesn't need a Republican candidate, the Republicans at the Chamber own all the Democratic candidates.

    1. To clarify the Kansas Republicans -aka crony capitalists- at the chamber - because they all live in Leawood and Mission Hills owns the local KC Democrats. KC needs a local homegrown conservative to challenge this coronation.

  6. Only issue I see is his Soviet wife will have to obey the KCMO Ordinance requiring wives to stay out of sight and not meddle in the Mayors business.

  7. Wagner is probably one of the best Councilmen in terms od responding to constituent issues, but Kander has the Power brokers behind him. Also Scott Wagner, Like the other Scott in the 6th District, have both been puppets of the political and developer donors both were expexting to be their "darling" candidate for Mayor, but bigger political dynamics weiged in and cut them out. These are the folk that will use Kander for continuinng the local corruption purposes, then launch him into higheer office as "their guy". The corruption line of secession has already been planned. Kansas City resident taxpayers will continued to be screwed.

  8. Seriousness at least, maybe professionalism. That's why Kander will be elected.

It's hard to recall a mayor who was a serious person, not some character or poseur.

    It will be refreshing.

  9. "The fighting among white people..." Kander isn't White. Kander is a Jew. Jews aren't White, Jews are Jews --ask a Rabbi.

  10. Agree with 8:17. Wagner will win based on his city record overall - not just random complaints. State work doesn't equal City work. Potholes and sidewalks aren't sexy enough and require rolling up your sleeves. Kander is using KC as a stepping stone to a larger office. Wagner is here to stay.

  11. What can Kander hang his hat on? Snarky tweets and losing elections on both sides of the state line?

    ReplyDelete
  12. @ 8:58, shame there isn't a Federal Ordinance that would keep Soviet Wives from meddling in National Affairs, isn't it?

Wonder if "M" will be flying to Helsinki to help "Dear Little Donnie" recover after Vladimir gets through chewing his ass out?

  13. @ 9:03, Wagner is nothing but another of Sly's handpuppets - name one accomplishment he has independent of the crowd of syncophants surrounding James!

Those aren't "Random" complaints, they go to the core of Wagner's failure to serve his constituency.

  14. Wagner wears his shoes out working on the ground in Kansas City. He can get people out to vote.

  15. Reading these comments, seems to me we are fucked either way. Not a real conservative in sight. Tax and spend libs everywhere. Northlanders are libs?? As a long time Northlander, I noticed several conservative neighbors in their yards when the latest 1% sales tax vote was taken. I asked several, later, if they voted. No. Well, you get what you don't vote for. 20 more years and millions of dollars wasted on trains, unneeded airports, 18th and vine, and more. KC is doomed. We may even catch up to St. Louis in erms of being a shithole city.

Kander could care less about KCMO he just knows how to say the things that people want to hear. The leaders of the Democrat party, Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters, are grooming him for the spotlight at the national level. It should surprise no one that if Kander is elected mayor he will probably not complete his term before he is on the national stage.

  17. This all reminds you of what has been said about how vicious the infighting among the faculty at a small liberal arts college can be.
Because the stakes are so low.
If you look at the track record of the current council members who are running for mayor, it is a trail of insider dealing, incompetence, upside-down priorities, reckless spending and taking on debt, and otherwise pretty much doing whatever Sly told them to do.
Not much leadership or representing the residents of KCMO to be found there.
Kander is all superficial self-promotion and fake celebrity and looks at being KCMO mayor purely in terms of what it might mean for him. The notion that his MSNBC "fame" will do anything at all for KC is a joke.
Heads, KCMO loses. Tails, Kander wins for himself.
    Only the names change.

  18. Kraske wrote that Kander is a 'former Brookside-area state reprsentative'. Is uninformed or a liar? Kander represented the 44th district-Columbia and Brookside??
    How does one do that?

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'd take Wagner over Kander for KC. Scott has proved he's in it for KC. Kander is too interested in a bigger position. I want dedication, not a stepping stone candidate.

  20. Is the race between a political loser/labor lawyer and fat guy without a chin? Its funny because both of these guys are so woke - especially Kander...yet these front runners just took out blacks, LGBT, women, and hispanics. And the dems are super happy about this. These are the same types of dems that applaud the win of that crazy, commie, lying bartender in NYC who beat the old white guy (with a 20% voter turnout).

Seriously, what is wrong with KC voters and their extreme liberalism? Do they not see that its this decades old lib thought process that is keeping KC out of America's recent surge? Why do we settle for getting left behind? I guess its only the blacks and hispanics that are getting left behind. The lefty white voters are still making money or spending someone else's money while being woke SJWs.

I will find a person to vote for in August. I might also vote again early next year by moving to Lenexa or Lee's Summit.

WTF happened to your website? It looks batshit crazy now. Go back to old format. Drudge Report has stuck with same format since day one. No need to fix what ain't broken.

  22. I've met them both, nice guys. I liked Wagner better, more personable and better listener.

  23. Seriously tired of people assuming that Northlanders are all wealthy white Republicans who live in posh houses in gated communities. Kander and all the other candidates have NO CLUE about people north of the river. Come visit some time and see the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I read Kraske in the Star today and I think people are going to be surprised at the outcome. I don't think Kander and Lucas are a shoe-in for the final.

  25. I agree with 1:11. The north land people are pretty loyal to their council person. I think Scott has the edge.

  26. "saturated with subsidized housing. The elementary school is about 80% free or reduced lunch. The neighborhood has been deemed unsafe"

    Completely made up
and if 80% is on free lunch then we should make all school lunches free

    ReplyDelete
  27. @1:18 ask Deb Hermann how "loyal" the Northland was to their council person when she ran for mayor 8 years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Diana can install herself as de-facto chief of staff, working as a “volunteer” and maintaining a desk just outside her husband’s 29th-floor office. The sign on her desk could read... Welcome to Subsidies City. Dark Money Welcome To Make Interest Payments.
