KCTV5: 25-year-old dies after being shot inside fish, chicken market in KC
Deets:
Police said he was 25 years old and a student at UMKC. They said he worked at the business where the shooting happened.
They also said his family in India has been notified of his death.
Detectives were taking statements from several witnesses in the area after the crime.
On Saturday, police said they are looking for a suspect who was wearing a brown shirt with white stripes in surveillance video. A picture of the suspect has been provided.

Reportedly, posted by his cousin, there's a Go-Fund-Me page posted that offers more background on homicide victim Sharath Koppu.
A reward of $10,000 is available for information leading to an arrest in this and all homicide cases in Kansas City, Missouri. Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477) or at www.kccrimestoppers.com.

It's Kansas City's little war zone and the level of violence is untenable. The so called leaders promised economic development but they haven't spent any of the funding on the new tax they voted for last year. I'm a life long 3rd district resident and really don't know how much longer i can take it. The murder rate might be going down in the rest of the city but around here it's still the same old mess.

As for the money being raised by a CITY-WIDE sales tax, but limited to be spent ONLY on the east side, it isn't being spent because it's much too early for the usual suspects to start turning the money into thin air, as they usually do, with people still possibly paying attention and asking about the plans, as you did.
Give it a few more months, say around election time, when everyone's attention is drawn to other things, and the money will begin to evaporate.
Take exhibits: Green Impact Zone; Citadel Plaza; 18th and Vine; and as many others as you would like.
