One year later, south KC business owners reflect historic flood damage
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It's been one year since dangerous and damaging flood waters forced businesses to close near 103rd and Wornall in south Kansas City. One year later, many of the businesses continue to stick together. Five local businesses all reopened at the Watts Mills Shopping Center, about a mile away from the original location.
Lost one gay bar last year, which one goes down this year ? Pun intended.
ReplyDeleteIt was a once an every couple decade flood. We had a couple of them last summer. Nearly everyone I know in all parts of the city had their basements flood. It was pretty bad.
ReplyDeleteCoaches had a good place there. It was easy to get drunk and pick up a bar slut there.
