Also, it's just a really good opportunity to talk and get to know the new guy in charge as he continues his community outreach efforts.

Greetings Jackson County! My name is Sheriff Darryl Fortè, and I am honored to serve as your Sheriff of Jackson County, MO.
Allow me to briefly introduce myself: prior to becoming your Sheriff, I served with the Kansas City Police Department for 31 years. My personal missions include giving 100% in all I do, and cultivating great relationships with those I am privileged to serve.
Building trust and legitimacy, maintaining positive relationships/partnerships, and providing several lines of communication for the public to converse with law enforcement are essential elements for the success of our agency, and together, we will establish and maintain such.
I would like to extend an invitation to meet with you one-on-one Saturday, June 9th from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office is located at 4001 NE Lakewood Court Lee’s Summit, MO 64064. This meeting is your opportunity to explain the issues in your community and how your Sheriff’s Office can be of service to you. The meeting will be 10 minutes and there are 21 spots available.
If the slots fill up, fret not, I will continue to hold one-on-one meetings in an effort to provide as many people as possible with an opportunity to voice his or her concerns.
