TKC FACT CHECK: POLICE BODY CAMERAS FAIL THANKS TO RULES LIMITING PUBLIC ACCESS TO FOOTAGE ALREADY IN PLACE!!!!

The KC Crimefighter Alonzo Washington has made some relevant points on the topic of limited transparency . . . Meanwhile, we talked about body cameras for KCPD last week . . . Today the newspaper offers a similar write-up after the fact:

Kansas City Police Department inches toward equipping officers with body cameras

The Kansas City Police Department is asking for bids to buy 1,000 body-worn cameras and and more than 300 dashboard-mounted cameras for its fleet of patrol vehicles. The request for proposal is a step toward equipping KC police officers with body cameras.

  1. So basically, KCPD will be paying millions upon millions for advanced book keeping and very expensive data storage.

    No thanks.

  2. The BLM crowd and other Michael Brown supporters really need to think through their excitement and support for police body cameras.
What the vast majority of the video will produce is the reckless, irresponsible, and even self-destructive behavior of so many "citizens" that the police come into contact with.
And the public will turn the BLM issue and view of reality on its head.
The big new demands will turn out to be to NOT release the video.
But ANYTHING other than changing behavior or accepting responsibility will always be sad destructive path.
    It's always someone else's fault.

  3. BLM is the main reason why this is being put in place this is true.

  4. BLM is costing us lots of money so looks like things have taken a turn for the worse because of them, but you know what they say....give em enough rope and they will hang their self. Pay up black people.

  5. Quoting or even using Alonzo Washington's name in relation to crime is a joke. This from a guy who plasters his head in axl grease thinking it makes him look cool. Been rather nice of late not seeing his racist hate on this page.

  6. 7:05 is dead on the money. It could be, that the unavailability of footage from the police, is calculated, not to protect the police, but protect criminal behaviour, that doesn't fit the Progressive Narrative.

  7. Can someone tell me who I need to talk to for me to set up cameras in the Jackson County jail so I can stream it on a pay per view channel? Trust me...it would make big bucks.

  9. ^^^^ it would be like watching monkeys in a cage at the zoo, we could learn so much about their animal behavior!
