Flashcube Building in downtown KCMO not a pretty picture
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A building in downtown Kansas City has the nickname Flashcube, but its current condition doesn't match the glitz and glamour of its nickname. The structure on the west side of Main Street between 7th and 8th Streets is called the Flashcube Building because the all glass exterior resembles a flash cube for cameras, a technology first unveiled more than 50 years ago.

ReplyDeleteMara Rose Williams whoever that may be is an IDIOT for writing this article!!!!
The separation of children from their parents is NOT a Trump policy!!
This is Bull Shit and lies from the liberal propaganda machine!!!
You liberals are so STUPID, it's sickening that we have that kind of ignorance in our country!
Can you guess why Trump has separated these kids and can you guess what other president did it????
Can you guess who put that FEDERAL LAW in place that Trump has to follow because the dumb democrats won't change it?????
@ 7:23, how can the Democrats change any law, with the Republicans controlling both Houses of Congress?
ReplyDeleteThe Republicans (or rather the Republicant's) currently have the Majorities in Congress, a Republican President, and a Republican Majority sitting on the Supreme Court, and the only significant action they have been able to take is a Tax Cut for the Wealthy that has already started the Deficit exploding.
They screamed throughout the eight yeas of the Obama Administration that they had an agenda that would improve things in this Country, and now that they have ALL Governmental power in their hands they can't do shit!
Where is their much-touted Agenda? What is it? Why do they look like a pack of squabbling Kindergartners?
And as far as your implication that the ICE under Obama separated families, that Drudge Report story has been completely discredited, get another song!
LISTEN TO THE FACTS, NOT THE FOX!
if there is ever a womaw that could get elected, moving to become the new face and leader of the democrats is the cool and calm Maxine Watters. She is a sweetheart, certainly no racist, We could all be proud of sweet little max. What a mess, you must be so happy to call her your own.
DeleteWe’ve got taco bell they can go back home know.
ReplyDelete7:23 literally every word you wrote is incorrect. You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. When was the last time you read a non-fiction book? Turn off Fox News, you're mind has been poisoned. Seriously, Google what you wrote and look at any news source aside from Fox. You believe lies and spread them here. You are flat wrong. Now be a man, open your mind, and look up what you wrote. You are factually wrong, simple as that. Are you man enough to admit it. If you think I'm wrong post a reputable news source here disproving me. You won't be able to do it.
ReplyDelete9:54 YOU post a reputable news source proving it. You can't. You lose, again.
ReplyDeleteI understand that all the local media has to constantly curry favor with "THE DEVELOPERS", but the author of the piece about "The Flashcube" downtown is being disingenuous when he or she refers to "the glitz and glamour of its nickname".
ReplyDeleteThat nickname was always one of derision and contempt, and was a reference to the building's resemblance to a item that was both cheap and disposable. The building was both ugly and incongruous and detracted from the appearance of downtown from the day it opened (how
much architectural skill does it take to draw a square?).
As time passed the derision did not lessen, in fact it increased, since the building gained a reputation for being a terrible place to work, with morning and afternoon glare sometimes making it difficult to see even in the interior "bullpens", and incredibly wild temperature swings constant, since HVAC for a Fishbowl proved to be extremely difficult to manage.
Of course it not does fit in to the "look" of Downtown better, since the cheap, temporary appearance matches that of so many of the "improvements", but the idea of living in it has to be ridiculous, unless your lease payment includes all Utility Costs, especially the incredible costs of heating and cooling.

ReplyDeleteThere you go dumb ass @12:54. If you don't like that source there are literally dozens of others you can easily find on the Google box. Politifact is non-partisan bit I'm sure your ignorant ass will say "fake news!" I did my job, now do yours bitch. You won't.
^^^ Take in any immigrants this week you social justice warrior? Can you even see any from high atop your pedestal?
ReplyDeleteSad to see people get butt hurt when laws are enforced the way they are written. People need to understand the U.S. is a land of laws. Break the laws pay the price. If the illegals do not like what is happening stay home.
ReplyDelete8:09 I assume you're also 12:31. I told you you couldn't provide a link because you're wrong but too chicken shit to admit it. Instead you deflect to ask if I've taken in any immigrants when the discussion was whether there was a law or not. Of course your ignorant ass believes Trump. Read a non-fiction book, stop watching Fox and getting your information from memes on Facebook. You look really, really stupid when you run into someone who actually knows what they're talking about. I eagerly await your response where you call me names or deflect away from the FACT that you are wrong
