Missouri voter ID law violates state constitution, new lawsuit claims

A new lawsuit filed Wednesday in Missouri claims the state's strict photo identification law, which could disenfranchise roughly 200,000 registered voters, is unconstitutional. Priorities USA Foundation, the super PAC that supported Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign, argues that the state's voter ID law is unlawful, despite a constitutional amendment that Republicans passed in order to shield the law from legal scrutiny, according to the lawsuit.

  5. But we had to download a ballot, have a valid government ID, and have our ballot notarized by a registered notary public to vote for the street carexpansion. Why all the fuss about having to have a valid ID to vote for president and other elected officials?
