Many futurist believe that Universal Basic Income will solve the social problems of the future OR at least make the transfer to drug money more efficient given that the current gimmes for po'folk aren't really working. Take a look:

State Auditor Nicole Galloway says Missouri appears to be wasting millions of dollars through misuse of its food assistance program. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, was formerly known as the Food Stamp Program. It helps low-income Missourians get food at grocery stores by using a state-funded electronic card.

ReplyDeleteA universal basic income only begins to make sense if we discontinue all welfare programs and lay off all the government bureaucrats who sponge off them. That might actually save the taxpayers some money.
