SHAME!!! KANSAS CITY STAR SCRIBE MARY SANCHEZ VIRTUALLY CONVICTS ICE AGENT OF ASSAULT IN ONE-SIDED COLUMN WITHOUT FURTHER INVESTIGATION!!!

Right now there's an ongoing investigation of an early morning Kansas City deportation scuffle that has already created a social media stir and inspired national headlines.

Nevertheless . . .

IN HER LATEST SCREED, MARY SANCHEZ PLAYS JUDGE, JURY AND POLICE LADY AS SHE ASCRIBES MOTIVE TO AN ALLEGED LA MIGRA ASSAULT AGAINST A LOCAL LADY LAWYER!!!

Never mind, that never once during her column does she mention that this was an organized press event. While she does mention camera crews, the high drama didn't happen on its own and was obviously an orchestrated media ploy.

And all of that is cool . . . Don't get it twisted, TKC isn't in love with La Migra which pretty much ranks among the bottom feeders of law enforcement and the equivalent of political shock troops in their own right. While the vast majority of law enforcement seek to to protect and serve the community without bias . . . SOME of these dudes have taken heat for their tactics and there's a growing call to disband the agency. Real talk, new KCPD social workers and property room clerks are probably more important when it comes to keeping locals safe.

But the important part of this discussion isn't really about immigration.

Whilst newspaper hacks like to brag about their "journalism" prowess . . . In a screed that's not even well-sourced enough to qualify as a good blog rant -- A nationally syndicated columnist pretty much assumes guilt without bothering to mention the other side of the equation and props up partisan talking points to support her nearly unintelligible policy argument in this screed . . .

The punchline is a potshot at hard-line immigration policy and opposition that seems to be the basis of a largely successful ploy to win hearts, minds & votes for the midterms:
