Family fights to keep Olathe mass killer behind bars

A man is up for possible parole, 38 years after killing six members of a family in Olathe. The remaining members of that family will do everything they can to make sure that does not happen. On September 20, 1980, 27-year-old Danny Crump rigged 10 sticks of dynamite into a bomb to murder his ex-wife, Diane Post, her husband and four other family members.

  1. Seriously. Why did the taxpayers "GET" to provide this human garbage with three hots n a cot for 38 years? At $100k/year that's about 4 mil. Coulda just put him out of our misery for $50k and been done. He isn't going to be rehabilitated. Just like a dog that bites a child. Once it's been done, it has the taste and you put it down.

  4. I have read about these hearings now several times. it is truly an obscenity
that he is getting a hearing. He should have been dead, buried, and forgotten many years ago. If he would have killed 7 or 8 people, would that have done the trick? How many murders earn you a permanent solution, either in prison or in the ground? This is a real good example of why I cannot oppose the death penalty. Some day, somebody is going to let this guy out, just wait and see. We just don't seem to able to find a solution that keeps guys like this from eventually being released. They almost always eventually get released back to their "loving" families or girlfriends. After all, he hasn't killed anybody in 40 years. Let's give this poor misunderstood man another chance! Yes, folks. There are people who actually advocate such practices.

  5. The person have served there time and need to come home to be with there kids & grandkids & family. The person have miss out of there kids life, now it time to let the person go home to be with there kids. God is the only one who can give you second chances in life to make it better.

  6. ^^^ Sometimes the crime is so heinous as to negate any second chance. This is one of those.
