KCPD seeking bids to purchase 1,000 body cameras, new patrol car video system
In an effort to increase officer safety and enhance accountability, The Kansas City Police Department is taking another step in its efforts to equip its officers with body cameras. The department is requesting 1,000 body cameras, along with a video system for its patrol cars. Department officials are currently seeking bids for the cameras.
They're not actually interested in getting body cameras. They're going to put the bid out, it is going to come back with some retarded high number, and then the cops are going to want to cry they can't afford it.

The police do not want true accountability. That's why they hide behind the police board instead of local control, that's why they constantly fight against any sort of open records or accountability or body cameras.
This whole idea that you have to have a thousand of them is pretty fucking stupid too. You don't need a thousand police cars when you only have about 30 cops work in the streets every night in each zone.

Because you want to make the bid look so expensive that there's no possible way the city would ever go for it. Why not make it a million cameras and it will cost a trillion trillion dollars? I mean this is just ridiculous to even require a thousand cameras.
be a cop, deal with drunk or drugged bone heads in domestic violence scuffles everyday, or petty white ppl problems boo hoo, or some other pain in the ass equivalent or even lots of sordid sick shit men & women create, carry around trauma backpacks in your trunk for kids, learn CPR and mental health training, have various accoutrements attached to your car, waist, shoulder, and chest, all for 5.99/hr. You may want to just start shooting people too. Perhaps politicians and the deranged public do not want true accountability.
