Let's think objectively about the Kansas SecState and the impact of his "replica" machine gun . . .
First, more than any other news-ish outlet in Kansas City - Our blog community supports 2nd Amendment rights and has ALWAYS opposed any of the proposed crackdowns from City Hall . . . But this debate isn't really about gun rights . . . It's a ruckus amid less than symbolic pandering and pageantry which real students of politics should rightfully abhor.
But this publicity stunt deserves objectivity because it'll definitely influence voters and might even illuminate increasing factionalism betwixt Republicans in Kansas.
A few finer points that nearly everyone is missing:
- Did SecState Kobach win any new votes or inspire more support with this stunt??? It seems like the kind of people who would back this kind of move are already voting for him.
- Did parading around with a fake gun turn away otherwise Conservative voters like parents and Republicans moderates who might object to a controversial political style that used a family event as a prop for a divisive display.
The defense of the Kansas SecState rests on name-calling and bravado in service of fake gun politics. While he could have make a real statement or talked about gun rights legislation . . . Gallivanting around with a fake gun risks consideration of an important issue like a toy.

You decide . . .
You can look at it from the opposite side too: Did Kobach really turn away RINO Johnson County housewives who weren't going to vote for him anyway?
ReplyDeletePeople are sick of the politically correct folks; he didn't turn anyone off except for the perpetually offended group who wouldn't vote for him anyway; his standing firm will bring in the votes.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather go with Colyer and skip all the drama. If Kobach wants to stir up controversy, he should do it on his talk show.
ReplyDeleteMeh, the guy sucks ass anyway and I was never going to vote for him. I like to think JoCo voters are a smarter bunch than the average Kansan and saw through this dumbass little "wrap myself in the flag and I love guns" stunt but I'm probably giving them too much credit.
ReplyDeleteThe sissy limp wrist-ed liberals are so easily offended!
ReplyDeleteKobach knows how to waste time and money as well as any- he’ll fit right in!
ReplyDeleteAnother dufus for Kansas!
Thanks to Kobach we now know that support of the Second Amendment is really about protecting your right to ride down the Street in a gaudy, useless vehicle displaying a toy gun.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I always thought it was about reality.
It was a fake gun DeBergerac so the Second Amendment does not enter into the equation here. One does not need the Second Amendment to play with or display a toy gun you ignorant slut.
ReplyDeleteI see you hate Jeeps as well. So now you have pissed off not only those who have a right to own a gun but also those who have a right to own a Jeep if they so desire without having an ass clown such as you call the gaudy and useless.
I bet Becky Bieker has no issues in seeing someone riding in a Jeep in Shawnee with what appears to be a gun on it.
ReplyDeleteAbout time DeBlowjob weighed in with his usual drivel.
ReplyDeleteFact of the Matter - I mean, it's a Jeep thing, would any of us understand? Amirite?
ReplyDeletePersonally, I love nothing more than some guy 'off roading' through the chip sealed streets of OP with some huge knobby tires and wench on the front end of their Jeep.
Kobach has indeed alienated every journalist in the metro area. Many of them are even now curled up in a fetal position in their safe spaces. He's not going to get a single vote from the Star or Pitch staffs. Take that KKK!
ReplyDeleteKobach blows as much as stupid dave does. Both are barley functioning retards.
ReplyDelete^^^^^^^Talk about stupid, if you're going to attack someone by calling them stupid at least learn how to spell the small words you are using to make your narrow minded point with.
ReplyDeleteBarley is grain used to make the cheap ass beer you sit around drinking all day while making your hateful posts instead of working like real men do.
See ya later retard,
The whole charade was to appeal to the Trump base because Kansas is a closed primary State and most Independents and registered Democrats don't want to go through the pain in the ass bullshit to register as Republicans just to vote in the primary to beat him and then have to re-register Closed primaries suck.
ReplyDeleteKobach curled up in his safe space on FoxNews this morning, complete with name-calling and lack of verifiable facts, a page straight from the Trump Twitter Meltdown Playbook. I for one am happy Kobach removed any doubt on Saturday about his agenda as a candidate for a Governor. He is a single-issue candidate pandering to his single-issue base. I hope he’s paid the $1,000 fine the federal judge threw at him in April during his Secretary of State failure trial. He probably hasn’t though, because his wife needs that money to homeschool his five daughters, those homeschool religious freak kids never turn out weird.
ReplyDeleteI agree, stupid dave is a barely functioning retard!
ReplyDelete^^Ditto^^^^
ReplyDelete^^^Yes I concur. Stupid dave is a retard.
ReplyDelete^^^ At least Dave writes his honest opinion and stands up for what he believes in, much better than a troll just trying to cut him down. Dave is a lot better to read than your hateful garbage.
ReplyDelete^^^Dave's honest opinion is garbage. That's my honest opinion. If you can't stand the heat dave...get off the fucking blog! Once you post your moronic drivel, your fair game bitch! You're owed nothing here. Don't like it? Go the fuck away!!!!
ReplyDeletethere's been a story about him everyday on here since it happened. I'd say itworked
ReplyDelete2:58pm, go learn the difference between ‘your’ and ‘you’re’ before you post ‘your fair game b****’. Also, your parents must be so proud they raised someone who can’t write a correct sentence, much less one that contains an artillery of profanity. Ah yes, curse words......the go-to response of the uneducated.
ReplyDeleteI think Kobach should have had a real machine gun.
ReplyDeletehas anybody else ever used a machine as a campaign meme?
ReplyDeletejust read kobach's bio. smart sob. wonder why he's not more polished.
ReplyDeleteAt a time when students are given bullet proof insert for book bags its kinda in bad taste to wave a machine gun around.
ReplyDeleteIt alienated liberals and the media.
ReplyDeleteIF SJWs engage in virtue signaling, RWNJs like #KKKobach engage in evil signaling.
ReplyDeleteI played army in the woods out back with my friends and a fake gun, when I was fucking 10 years old!
