Will Kansas City Crosswalk Tech Keep Pedestrians On Their Phones Safe???

Pedestrian accidents are on the rise in Kansas City. Blame both drivers & walkers on their mobile phone.

Here's the counter-argument from City Hall . . .

"New, safer cross-walk signals have been installed in high use pedestrian areas to improve pedestrian and driver safety. The signals flash to notify drivers to proceed cautiously and stop when walkers are in the crosswalk. Some of the first crosswalks installed are located near Children's Mercy Hospital on Hospital Hill, Main Street near 45th and in Brookside."

  1. And walkers need to pay attention. If I have a green light and you have a "no walking" light, watch the fuck out. People in KC don't understand basic street signs and the way traffic works.
