Police warn drivers to control their temper behind the wheel

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Police in Overland Park give advice on how to drive, but that's not their only advice. "You really don't know who you're dealing with," said Officer Steve Parker, traffic detective for the Overland Park Police Department. Aggressive and careless driving are linked to road rage.

  2. Anyone could have an unregistered handgun in their car. Short tempers, more people on their stupid phones, rude behavior, broken ACs in the summer.

  3. What the hell do you mean an "unregistered Handgun"?
Neither Kansas or Missouri have ever "Registered" handguns!
This is where the anti-gun hysteria comes from.

Need to make it Mandatory , that anybody pulled over for road rage incidents be tested for DRUGS & Alcohol, since most are amped up on some sort of Drugs & dope anyway, while they drive like jack asses all amped up

Enough of this bullshit from those dipshits !!!

  6. "Around 500,000 people drive through Overland Park every day". Holy cow that equates to a little over 180 million visitors per year. KCMO sure lags behind big time with 25 million annual visitors.

  7. No license needed for conceal carry.

    What could go wrong?

  8. @ 12:50 Jackson County's Sheriff imposed a de facto waiting period for a "permit to purchase" in the 1990s, as did the Police Chief of St. Louis.

No other Sheriff in the State imposed a "waiting Period", the longest it ever took me to get a permit in Clay County was the next day.

The Jackson County Sheriff also tried to establish a Pistol Registry (in 92 or 93 as I recall), but ceased immediately after the ACLU issued a request for information (they weren't always only concerned with criminals).

  10. If OP would designate a specific lane for MO drivers only, it would help tremendously. Half of them aren’t sure where they’re going, and the ones that do drive like Granny on a Sunday afternoon.

  11. Wow .... KCPD warned us.... That ought to do it.
    Problem solved.
