Starbucks stores across the country will be closed on Tuesday afternoon. The company announced it would use the half day to "conduct racial-bias education geared toward preventing discrimination in our stores." Starbucks announced the move in April after video of police arresting two black men at a Philadelphia location went viral.
Is this the one where the coloreds learn how to speak actual English and are told to not to blame white people for everything?

ReplyDeleteLike these workers don't have enough shit to worry about... flex scheduling, orders in their earphones, customers in their face, making drinks, cleaning, working and noe they have to be specialists in "racial bias" -- give me a break. Maybe they do deserve this do called 15 an hour minimum if we keep piling yhis crap on the lowliest of workers.

ReplyDeleteReally? I had a black guy ignore me but when a black lady walked to the counter he ran to help her as if I wasn't there. How is it that a company like Starbucks made a mistake and they shut the company down for racial bias training? White people have been asked to leave business too if they were just sitting.

You watch. Even though everyone is welcome without purchase the individual stores will expect local police to enforce loitering and vagrancy laws. It won't be a hobo or homeless hangout.thid will be added police responsibility -- more problems to come, for sure!

ReplyDeleteI seem to recall the men saying they were waiting for an important business meeting (which refusal to leave/subsequent arrest would have thwarted, but a quick call to relocate would have taken care of) and that they were afraid for their lives when the police showed up. They stayed. Something not adding up here.
