Normally we skip or throw house fire news in the compilation but this historic inferno speaks to Kansas City's history and offers a look at a former homestead of a legend gone up in flames. Take a look:
Early-morning fire destroys once-home of Hall of Fame pitcher Satchel Paige
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - An early-morning house fire destroyed a home that once belonged to a key player in Kansas City's baseball history. Just before 3 a.m. Tuesday, fire crews were called to a home on 28th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. When they arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames.
ReplyDeleteCause of fire????? Arson!
The house was abandoned, so vagrants probably started the fire.
ReplyDeleteGlad we got the diaper patrol to give us these much-needed updates!
ReplyDeleteThe diaper patrol actual adds to the conversation unlike a coprophagy who just chews his own poo.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice mansion when it was in its prime.
ReplyDeleteLet’s rename it after MLK
ReplyDeleteOn September 25th, 1965, Satchel Paige at age 59, pitched three scoreless innings against the Boston Red Sox at the old and wonderful Municipal stadium. He gave up one hit in those three innings, to Carl Yaztremski. I was there and it was magical.
