TKC DOUBLE TAKE: KANSAS CITY 1968 RACE RIOT FULL PROGRAM REDUX!!!

Forgive the double post . . . But wanted to make sure we have this one for the archives . . . Check the full program of KCMO 1968 Race Riot Remembrance.

Description:

'68: The Kansas City Race Riots Then and Now is a product of a unique partnership between Kansas City PBS, 41 Action News and the Kansas City Public Library. It features historians, political and law enforcement leaders along with eyewitnesses to the tumultuous events playing out on Kansas City streets 50 years ago. Frustrated with the slow pace of civil rights reforms and outraged at the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., protest turned to violence in Kansas City on April 9, 1968. The riots shocked many residents of the city, which had long been known for its lack of racial unrest despite its deep, underlying racial tensions.

  2. If they weren't responsible for so much vile crime, I would take this seriously.

    But they are.

    So I don't.

  3. I watched this video and I noticed the black women do the black panther/black power sign so that says a lot! Then I listen to Sly James talk about not being enough black business not enough black police, so on, so on, and so on. Who's fault is that? They have just as much right and freedom to do what anyone else does! I think this is all about woe is me, give me, give me, give me. Blacks need to stop living in the past and grow up. If white people don't like you, or you don't like white people, move on!
