UMKC lands $1.97M grant for end-stage glaucoma treatment - Kansas City Business Journal
Researchers at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine landed $1.937 million to develop a way to treat patients with end-stage glaucoma. The five-year grant from the National Institutes of Health will support principal investigator Karl Kador's research on ways to restore vision to patients with glaucoma and other eye disorders.

The owners of a playful pup in southwest Missouri are wondering why someone drew a swastika on the dog's forehead. Tracey Howard, of Crane, says her dog, Sadie, wandered away from their home this week. When another woman, Sami Gilbert, found Sadie along the side of a road, she captured the dog so she could return her to her owners.
