A quote from Kansas City's favorite native politico on the hot mess in Jeff City attempts to share the spotlight in a debate that is now mostly among Republican factions.

MissouriNet: Former Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander thinks Republican elected officials who don’t want Governor Eric Greitens to leave office should follow him.

"Kander made the comments last night while appearing at a Democratic fundraiser in Iowa. The former Democratic opponent of Republican U.S. Senator Roy Blunt said GOP party members should share his wish for Greitens to step down.

“I’m very much of the opinion that he should leave office, and that any Republican elected official in Missouri that hasn’t also come to that conclusion should probably follow him,” said Kander.

Accordingly, here are the latest news links related to the Guv who is currently making his last stand. Take a look:

KSHB: Where does Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens stand?

STL Today: Investigator on Greitens' criminal case refuses to answer deposition questions

U.S. News: No Decision Yet on Withholding Bills From Greitens

WaPo: Most House Republicans favor special session

My insiders tell me the the Show-Me Institute is too chicken to post negative stuff about their boy Eric but want him gone so they're paying Tony to do it.

That true, boy? I hear it is.

I have to say that the democrat rhetoric against Greitens is wearing very thin. It's all designed to get Claire re-elected in the fall. The play is to take down the governor and him and the AG at each others throats and save Claire's big paydays.
I think this is a mini assault just like the national assault on Trump. Stonewall and accuse to smear the person so no one would dare support them. Most of these accusations are so transparent that I can't believe that even the democrats fall for them. I see a direct correlation between the Stormy Daniels and the Hairdresser accusations. The #METOO movement is probably the work of George Soros and his group. These women that "come forward" have no shame and don't see themselves as being assaulted by the movement they think is empowering them.
I am most ashamed how the republican elected don't see past this crap. They are the ones going to be most hurt if you don't consider the common citizens.
When the dust settles and you find Greitens and Trump are the ones telling the truth how stupid will you feel? Sorry for the long post.

Yeah I can see the #METOO movement being created to use these women who proudly proclaim that they gave their stuff away willingly to the creep that owned the casting couch. Low morals on the women as well as creepy men.
Both sides wrong.

Good of Jason to come in off the rubber chicken circuit, stick his moistened finger into the wind, and offer us his thoughtful opinion.

Kander lost. methinks he's just trying to keep himself relevant during one of his few visits back to Missouri.

In your heart, you know he's right.

Anyone who defended Governor Committed Legitimate Rape will be out of a job in November.

12:44 your an idiot, what’s gonna happen to your kind if your wrong? Maybe you should prepare for a possible defeat

Greitens might make it through this but he'll never be able to run for office again.

Protecting sexual assault is not going to look good on a resume.

Enabling and defending MO legislators will be no mo' legislators.

2:58 - You are the idiot. I'll repeat. "You're" an idiot.

Your grammar needs work. The opinion is a fail too.
