  1. The taxpayers already voted that they did not want a toy train extension. Now Sly and company have decided that they are going to put this thing through no matter what.
    Why bother voting?

  2. I requested ballots a few weeks ago but have not received them in the mail.

  3. CFRG has received several reports of people requesting ballots and not getting them. The odd thing is al those we've heard from voted "NO" in the last mail in vote. Remember the ballots went to a judges office. Who's to say they didn't keep a list of the "NO" votes and are dragging their feet on mailing those people ballots? This should be looked at by State and Federal authorities. These mail in elections are ripe for voter fraud and voter suppression !

I'm guessing they're going to "ANNOUNCE" passage of the Extension by somewhere in the 65-79% range.

That way Slick and Jolie will have something more to lie, oops, I mean brag about.

As someone (probably named Justice) keeps posting here...

  7. You guys are funny!! If you'd take a moment to review the application form, you'd see that all the ballots are to be mailed to everyone on the same day, May 1, 2018. But please, keep those ridiculous conspiracy theories coming

  8. The theory is that the opposition to the street car taxing district will not get out the vote due to the difficultly of the procedures which were placed on the electorate.
I will never use the street car and my property taxes will increase close to $1,000 per year if this is approved.
    Totally disgusting.
You can say what you want against the voter suppression tactics of the Republicans, but what the KC City Counsel has done here is every bit as bad...

  11. The City is rebuilding the stone wall on Main Street by Liberty Memorial. It's been a problem for years, but this time they are aggressively rebuilding it with part of the street closed and they moved the sidewalk temporarily. Why are they doing this very aggressive rebuilding now? It's because they know the Streetcar extension is going to happen and they've got to get that rock wall fixed before it starts falling on the new toy train tracks. Voting no on the extension is still important, but only symbolic. The City is going to force the streetcar extension no matter what the voters say.

  12. Not only is Sly gifting the white tourists with free transportation they don't need, he's also adding another sales tax to pay for it. What does the poor-, minority-serving Metro get?? NADA.
