I-435 trash upsetting residents on both sides of state line

LEAWOOD, Kan. -- Drivers traveling along I-435 from Kansas to Missouri have seen a lot of trash on the side of the road. Several who live in the area said they're fed up. The stretch of highway between Roe Avenue and State Line Road is one area that people are upset about.

  1. Litter all over town is an eye sore. Idiots who through out their fast food containers, cups, cans, bottles along with other idiots who think the trash won't blow out of their uncovered trucks, pickup beds, and trailers. Yes, KS and MO and the cities around need to do a better job of keep things clean (rarely do you see a street sweeper in KC) but the problem starts with those who think anything outside of their window is a trash can.

  5. I have a plan that might work. Start at the KS and MO state line going east on 435. Dig a landfill on both sides, north and south, then in two years pave over it. In 100 years 435 will be 50 lanes wide and the trash problem will be buried.
Or just show some personal responsibility and keep the trash in your car and dump it in your trash can at home.

  6. Stick the convicts’ asses out there a couple times a month. It’s the least they can do for the taxpayers that fund their 3 hots and a cot.
