  1. These are the same houses they couldn’t sell for a dollar! Lmao!

  2. Actually, there are more than one "catches":
First the houses are in KCMO.
Trying to work with the "city staff" on improvements to the property will be incredibly time-consuming and expensive.
And your first month's water bill will be about the same amount as you paid for the house!
    Enjoy!

Correct - $100 dollar house and then 5 days later you'll be receiving FINES from KCMO that'll cost you thousands plus court appearences, that how those commies work down there at city hall,,

don't be fooled by their phony bait !!!

  7. I legitimately looked into buying one of these, and put together my numbers as to what it would take to rehab. It wasn't bad, I do most of my own work. Then I asked some former landlords in these areas and got stories of equipment stolen from your truck while you're around back working on something. Fixtures getting stolen over night. Just plain old vandalism. None of which encouraged me to look any further. You aren't permitted to just fix and sell per the rules (at least last time). Problem with that route would be no one who would "want" to live there would buy the place. The solution to this is a black developer. I know of one who primarily operates in BS (IIRC). They "know" how to deal with the people (immediate violence). Good luck KCMO. Not for me.

  8. Sly should buy one. He should at least own some property in Kansas City. The look on his fat ugly face when he gets his first water bill would be priceless.

  9. ^^Why would he want to do that? You pay the waterbill. You're the sucker, not Sly. Sly knows how this is played. You have no clue. Pay your bills and don't question your betters.

  10. You couldn’t pay me $100 or even 10,000 to assume possession of one of these homes. Your life is not worth this. Most likely a bad neighborhood and I guarantee you that the sound of gunshots will be an almost daily occurrence in the summertime. Crack heads will try to break in.

The poster above who joked about your water bill being more than the cost of the house is right. KCMO water billing is no joke, and it also wouldn’t surprise me to see the city try to shake down these home buyers for fines.

Oh, it's not just threats from guns, thuggies, and druggies, which are very seriously bad and to be avoided. There's guaranteed ugly blight on the same block, and likely nastiness for blocks upon blocks. The ROI is risky as all hell. Plus, seeing the mess from dogs of all manner digging in or tossing trash throughout the area would be too depressing.

  11. The water bill is going to be the cash cow for KC for the long term get use to it i suggest moving out of KC and make sure that the suberb you go to isn't buying their water from them either.

I watched the local news today and a guy from the city said to put 100 dollars down and it will probably cost 35 grand to fix up the house, meh no way, even if I were to rent it out they bums probably wouldn't pay up and tear up the place as well. Nothing but heartache and troubles.

  12. Oh I did move out of KCMO. Its really not all that. Just a big small town with a crime problem.

  13. ^^^Then why in the fuck are you on a blog about it? You fucking liar! If it isn't "all that," then why in the fuck are you here? You must not be "all that". Are you retarded or just a big fucking loser?

  14. ^^This work is neither insightful or topical. It is sub-standard work. You desperately want to be funny and relevant, you failed. This is not acceptable. You are writing at a pre-K level. This simply isn't good enough. "F". You earned it.

  17. Worked on a roof in MLKville one time and we watched locals take tools out of the back of a truck, just daring us to try and get down the ladder fast enough to catch them. They got two hammers and pry bar. My boss refunded the poor women her money and we left as she pleaded she could not get anyone to work on her house, we said sorry.
