TKC MUST SEE!!! KANSAS CITY FOREVER TAXES!!! FREEDOM INC. BACKS QUESTION 1 FOR THE LOW, LOW PRICE OF $35K!!!

Actually, they probably earned just a bit more throughout the course of the entire election cycle . . .

Still, according to the MO Ethics website, the group earned a substantial contribution of $35K from the Heavies in the middle of this month.

And so. . .

HERE'S ANOTHER SIGN OF SUPPORT FOR QUESTION 1 RENEWAL AS LEGENDARY EAST SIDE PAC FREEDOM, INC. SIGNS ON TO SUPPORT A REGRESSIVE TAX!!!

Credit where it's due, the graphic design work of this group has been really nice over the past 4 years . . . Here's part of the ballot they will pass out next week . . . Checkit:

The Buck O'Neil tribute is nice but a bit confusing given that bridge repair is mostly a perk for the Northland.

However, the focus on neighborhood improvement is more appropriate despite longstanding City Hall policy that spends every spare dime on pet projects & downtown developers.

You decide . . .

Comments

  1. Actually, this makes sense.

3rd district absolutely needs more capital improvement money because our representative have squandered most of it or simply sent it to other districts.

    1. I wouldn't exactly call this "rigged" but I wouldn't but there's very little doubt about how this voted will turn out.

    2. Translation = Rigged.

Glad I could help you with that!

  2. Yes, this will be a magnificent victory with a turnout of less than 8%.

    (Sly killed KC Democracy)

  3. There is a sliver lining here. If you don't agree with the Freedom Inc. Agenda and don't believe KC should tax itself to death then vote NO. Very little of the tax money beyond campaign fees will ever make it's way to neighborhoods. That's why the neighborhood blight is currently so overwhelming. They just don't spend it on fixing KCMO communities.

  4. KCMO fails to have good game plans fo our tax dollars. Their patch work doesn't to a complete job . A block by block fix needs to be done .
    while City Hall buys votes.
Bridge called a perk for the Northland guess who pays more taxes into KC ?
Little goes to the neighborhoods but a lot goes to downtown developers .

  5. As usual, the money and the organization supporting the pro tax campaign are supplied by people and institutions that would benefit monetarily from it. There is no funded or organized opposition. So of course it will pass, regardless of its merit or any argument why it should not.

An honest municipality would fund "yes" and "no" groups equally, so its voting citizens can make an informed choice one way or the other. Anybody know an honest municipality?

  6. I like that! Yes master sLIE! We be doin whatevs use sez boss man! Now that’s funny right there!!!

  7. Whoever is in charge of freedom inc just got new Cadillac money and we get to pay for it, this city sucks

  8. And I thought that bridge belonged to the state?

  9. Councilman Quinton Lucas once again confirms all suspicions that he's another stereotypical sellout politician.

Works in Lawrence KS for KU Law School in a diversity initiative created post.

Lives in KCMO subsidized housing in the failed 18th and Vine neighborhood.

Pretends to occasionally butt heads with Sylvester and Troy, then rolls over and stabs taxpayers in the back.

  10. No And here’s why imo 20 Yrs is too long to go unchecked. This tax should not go to the bridge - that’s the states’ responsibility. Revise those two issues then i’d go yes

  11. Everyone seems to be forgetting that a special sales tax that includes THE ENTIRE CITY OF KCMO, but can be spent ONLY on projects on the east side passed a few months ago.
Who controls how those millions are spent and where it actually goes?
The PIAC money for the 3rd District is just more gravy to spread around.
KCMO residents are the very definition of low-information voters.

  12. So this is how sLIE gets all those blacks votes, he bribes them, and they are too stupid to realize they’re getting played for “chump change”

  13. The bridge is a PERK for the Northland? Really? What would be a perk for the Northland would be de-annexing from KCMO.
