YMCA closed its downtown Kansas City, Kan., location after the building was deemed unsafe. YMCA of Greater Kansas City closed the facility at 900 N. 8th St. after an inspection by structural engineers found that the building was not safe, according to a Friday release from the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kan.

Breaking News Independence, MO - The historic Bingham-Waggoner Estate has been vandalized for the fourth time in a year. Volunteer Steve Schreiber says someone kicked out 18 panes of glass which will cost several hundred dollars in repairs. The mansion dates to the 1820's, is run by a mostly volunteer staff, and is used primarly for events.
