City college takes on the biggest names in town over a dorm project gone horribly wrong. Take a look:
'Reckless' work by JE Dunn, Gould Evans forced UMKC students from housing, suit says
University of Missouri curators are suing Gould Evans Associates, JE Dunn Construction and other companies claiming they were "reckless" in the way they designed and constructed housing for University of Missouri-Kansas City students. The 70-page lawsuit alleges that 34 companies committed "gross negligence" in the development of the Oak Place Apartments, at 5050 Oak St.
We need to subsidize those construction companies to obtain quality work. Talk to sLIE about that. Add to tax vote Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteFYI
ReplyDeleteJ.E. DUNN is the contractor for the downtown convention center hotel fiasco
No surprise. These companies are the ones who left a nice fat envelope on the desk of the person approving the contracts.
ReplyDeleteHey Tony, someone should look into how Dunn got the contract for the Block school-they were not the low bidder.
ReplyDeleteThey should look into all the contracts approved by UMKC. The place is as rotten as a garbage bin.
