Man ends standoff with police after punching wife

UPDATE MARCH 17, 2018 9:00 A.M. - Just before 9:00 Saturday morning the man exited the residence and surrendered without incident. Charges are expected later today. A man allegedly punched his wife, is threatening to shoot at officers, and is refusing to exit his house in the 3400 block of Montgall.

Overland Park man charged in connection with apartment fire

An Overland Park man is facing arson charges in connection with a fire that happened at Cedar Crest Apartments on Friday. Darian Deron Patrick Mitchell has been charged with one count of arson and one count of aggravated arson. According to court documents, Mitchell damaged an apartment at the complex by causing a fire with a dishwasher in some way.

Wandering horse found in Clay County

Clay County Sheriff's Deputies are hitting the trial, looking for the owner of a horse. Shortly after 1:00 Saturday Afternoon Deputies posted pictures on facebook, of a horse wandering at NE 132nd & Mt. Olivet, and haven't been able to locate an owner.

Four men from the East Coast have been charged in Johnson County for allegedly stealing someone's identity and trying to defraud them.

Kansas City Royals: Rotation could be bright spot for 2018 Royals

It was announced on Thursday by Ned Yost that Danny Duffy would be starting Opening Day for the Kansas City Royals. There's definitely no surprise there, as Duffy is head and shoulders the best starting pitcher on the roster. Yost also said that Ian Kennedy would be the number two starter, but the other three spots are up for grabs.

    Was told by them after an elderly family member's identity was stolen that Jo. Co. is so swamped with this that they only go after HUGE amounts of money stolen, by this method.
    I was told to take care of it myself.
